Chpt. 5 - Altas Dwelling and Chpt. 6 - Pictures (The Warper)

Stage Warehouse Battle You do not have to defeat all the enemies in this stage. To finish the stage, you just need to go to the upper-right part of the warehouse. If you do not care about the points, you can simply dash past the enemies and get a better time. This is also the best stage to use the EX Dash and practice those combos that involve the dash. Stage Spider Robot Character: Wato Chiyoko This stage starts off with enemy spiders crawling on the web at the background.

The spiders either attack with four bombs from their rear end or spit three projectiles from their mouth. Standing underneath the spiders will always make them attack with their mouths. To defeat them, just perform an air combo. Two attacks should kill them. After defeating the small spiders, a BIG spider robot will now appear.

This battle will be your first boss fight. The boss's life meter is found at the bottom of the screen. The big spider releases four big bombs from its rear end and five fast projectiles from its mouth. To defeat the Spider Robot, just perform air combos. You can use the machine gun or arm cannon to finish it faster. After defeating the boss, walk towards the right and meet Wato. Wato will mention something about a "Magnamite" that's being used by the enemy. Stage Magnamite This is a boss fight. The Magnamite has three different attacks: The Magnamite will use its arms or tentacles when Astro is on it.

The laser beam will be used when Astro is in front of its mouth. The Magnamite will perform the jumping or crushing attack when you have depleted more than half of its life points. Take note that the Magnamite gains temporary invincibility when it's bobbing up and down. If Astro is on top of the Magnamite when it jumps off the screen, Astro will be crushed by the ceiling and will receive damage.

You should also avoid it by dashing when it is about to land. After defeating the boss, Astro gets to meet an enemy robot. The robot introduces himself as Atlas and escapes to fight another day. O'Shay wonders who made Atlas. We then get a view of Metro City with a man who was closely watching the meeting between Atlas and Astro. He calls Astro "Tobio". Could he the same person you saw at the beginning of the game? Chapter 2 "Cruciform Island" Summary: Police Inspector Tawashi is currently investigating an airplane accident somewhere in the Pacific Ocean.

Based on the initial reports, the cause of the accident was a sudden increase of temperature in the area. Inspector Tawashi asks Astro to help in their investigation. Their primary concern is to find out the person responsible for the disaster. With the jet limiter off, you should be able to perform a combo like this: B, jet x n.

Just like in your typical shooting games, Astro can use his finger beam and super moves to defeat the bad guys. Astro always faces right in this stage. He cannot look towards his back. If you look closely at the sun found on the background, it gives you a hint when the stage is about to end. Use the arm cannon to dispatch the enemies faster. Near the end of the stage, you'll fight a giant bee for a boss battle. Stage Artificial Sun Time for another boss battle. If you have noticed, Astro is now using his jet boots to hover. This means he can move around during the battle and be able to face towards the left of the screen.

The battle with the artificial sun has two parts. During the first part, the boss's only way of damaging Astro is by ramming him. Use your finger beam and arm cannon while avoiding the boss to deal damage.

The best way to do this is to stay near the middle of the screen. When the boss has lost three life points, it will become small and grow tentacles around its body. Time for round number two. The artificial sun now has weapons in the form of tentacles. These are easily avoided BUT the artificial sun becomes bigger every time it receives damage.

Again, use the finger beam and arm cannon to deal damage. When you are about to get hit by the tentacles, use the EX Dash or the machine gun to move away safely. I strongly recommend that you use the machine gun. Heck, forget that I even mentioned the EX Dash. If you're feeling confident with your skills, you can simply jet away from the tentacles. As pointed out by several people, the Artificial Sun grows faster when you use any of your EX moves.

If you have upgraded your laser stat, the finger beam will be powerful enough. Try to reserve your EX moves when the sun has only two or three circles left. After the battle, the artificial sun will try to escape towards an island. Stage Cruciform Island Characters: Walk towards the right of the screen and Astro will meet a white lion. It turns out that the lion is a transforming robot named Pook. When Pook runs away, three animals - a rabbit, horse and duck - riding a big tire arrive.

They introduce themselves as the Amazing Three. They accuse Astro of using the white lion to steal money and jewelry. The Amazing Three attacks Astro. This boss battle should be easy. The Amazing Three only bounces around inside their tire. Use the machine gun at the start of the fight. Dash past the Amazing Three and use the arm cannon. Two combo attacks should finish them off. After the fight, Astro will explain to them that it is all a simple case of misunderstanding.

You'll get the Amazing Three for the Omega Factor and you'll be able to power-up again. Enter the ruins to your right. The appearance of this area will depend if you have upgraded Astro's sensor stat. If you did not power-up the sensor, the area will look dark and the only visible area is around Astro. If you have upgraded the sensor at least once, you'll be able to see properly. In case you need to recover life points, there is a heart floating above the entrance. Anyway, walk towards the right until you reach a sign.

Jump over the hole and proceed towards the right of the screen. Walk until you reach the room with the altar and moai statues. Big X will appear and challenge Astro because he mistakes him for one of Kinsankaku's goons. Gawd, why can't they ask questions first? This is another boss battle. At the start of the fight, Big X will use "Boost 3".

He'll teleport either in front or at the back of Astro. Big X has only one form of attack - a straight punch that Astro can easily counter. You can either use the machine gun to stun him or simply dash towards him followed by a combo. I usually stay at the right-most part of this area. This should solve your problem with Big X's teleportation. He will always appear to your left when you're at the edge of the screen. When Big X has six life points remaining, he will use "Boost 5".

Use the same strategy and Big X should go down after one or two combos. Big X will apologize to Astro after the fight. He tells Astro of a man named Kinsankaku who is somewhere in the island. That bad guy from Carthage also brought some V3 robots. Kinsankaku is doing something in the island and should be stopped. Big X will now be added to the Omega Factor.

Power-up any of Astro's abilities and return to the previous room. Drop down the hole and go to your left. Astro will meet Rainbow Parakeet at the end of that area. Rainbow Parakeet is a detective who is investigating for his client. He gives Astro a hint regarding a secret entrance of an underground ruin. Rainbow Parakeet will also be added to the Omega Factor. Return to the sign and go to your right. Go down until you see another sign. Unfortunately, the way is blocked. Could this be the secret entrance Rainbow Parakeet is talking about?

Go towards the left while avoiding the water. Jet over the wall and keep going left until you meet an old man. Wally Kisaragi is his name. Unfortunately, Wally cannot open up the secret entrance because he's too weak to destroy the stone face. Wally will be added to the Omega Factor and you get another power-up. Walk past Wally and destroy the stone face. This will open the passage previously blocked. Return to the passage and then go down. Stage Dreadful Robots V3 This is a straightforward stage.

Beat all the V3 robots to finish the stage. The V3 robot has two attacks: The first screen has only one enemy while the next screen has four V3 robots. During the second screen, prepare to dash since four V3 robots will be landing. Try to stand on the elevated platforms located at both ends of the screen. Take note that the landing V3s can damage Astro.

Use the arm cannon to destroy the robots faster. Get the heart at the end of the stage to recover life points. Stage The Elevator Character: Magma Astro will ride a lift to reach the underground hideout of Kinsankaku. You'll fight huge bees and bats in this stage. Magma is hidden in one of the metal parts of the lift. Spam your machine gun and look out for the "hit" effect on one of the metal parts. Use the arm cannon to destroy it faster. OR you can just keep on kicking the bad guys toward the right side of the screen.

Meeting Ambassador Magma now will give Astro another power-up and will save you some trouble later. You can get a heart when the elevator finally stops. Ignore the heart first since you still need to fight two mini-V3 robots. The mini-V3s will land on both ends of the screen. So, stay somewhere in the middle of the screen. Stage Transformable Robot "Pook" Character: Pook Wow, it's a huge hole. This island is not a volcano after-all. Down below, Pook is complaining to a Mr.

Skunk that he doesn't want to steal jewels and money anymore. Skunk tells him that he still needs him. Actually, Skunk is going to get rid of him when they find the treasure. Kinsankaku and Skunk stole the artificial sun in order to excavate a ruin of the Mu Empire. Astro jumps down and tells Kinsankaku to give up. Skunk tells Pook that he'll set him free if he fights Astro. Villains are required to master the art of persuasion. Time for a major boss battle.

Astro Boy: Omega Factor - Walkthrough

In case you have forgotten, Pook is a transformer. He's not an Autobot nor a Decepticon! He can change into a lion, bird, monkey, or a shark. Pook usually transforms when you damage one circle from his life meter. Lion - "Leo Force" The lion has only one attack. It will charge or pounce on Astro. When the lion prepares to attack, air dash over it and use the machine gun. Upon landing on the other side, use a combo attack or the arm cannon to deal damage. Take note that Pook becomes invincible when he has this green aura. Bird - "Quntole Force" The bird has three attacks - it will either swoop down on Astro, shoot some energy balls from its mouth, or use its feathers.

After Pook has transformed into a bird, immediately use the machine gun. This will let you perform a free air combo. Repeat until Pook transforms into another form. Monkey - "Hanumaan Force" The monkey attacks using its tail. Right after Pook finishes his transformation, jump and do not attack. This will bait Pook into attacking you in the air. Upon landing, use the machine gun. Dash towards Pook and perform any combo attack. An easier way of dispatching the monkey is to jump and bait Pook in attacking you in the air, jet downwards, perform the finger beam while still in the air near the ground and land.

Repeat until Pook changes to another form. This attack pattern will work as long as Pook uses the monkey's tail to attack Astro while he is jumping. Shark - "Bahamute Force" The shark either performs a jumping attack or an underground fin attack. Avoid standing near the wave when Pook is underground. I have to stress the importance of the machine gun attack in this fight. Even though it is the weakest move in the game, I consider it to be the best super move because of the stun it causes the enemies.

Anyway, Pook should go down after seven or eight transformations. After the battle, the good guys surround Kinsankaku and Skunk to prevent them from escaping. You also get Pook for the Omega Factor. Upon arrival, Astro asks Dr. O'Shay regarding Pook's condition. No worries, Pook can repair himself thanks to nanotechnology. Astro remembers Pook say something about helping a "Mu Empire". O'Shay tells Astro that it is a lost civilization that appeared 30, years ago.

Back to the story. Someone has taken control of the lunar plant owned by the Tokugawa Group. To make matters worse, the son of Mr. Tokugawa, Daichi, has been taken hostage. The "terrorist" insists that Astro should come to the plant and meet him. If the authorities will interfere, the hostage will be killed. Astro has no other choice but to comply with his demand. Stage Tokugawa Plant on the Moon Character: Jetter Mars As you have remembered from your elementary science class, the moon has a weaker gravitation pull.

Astro can jump higher and fall slower in this area. Anyway, let's proceed with the game. This is, again, a straightforward stage. Destroy all the enemies in the screen to advance. Before you enter the facility, destroy the second block from the top to meet Jetter Mars. When you reach the area with the "huge" hole, simply perform a jump and attack the enemies blocking your way with the arm cannon. You can get a heart at the end of the stage to recover life points. Stage Goblin Roboid Time for a mini-boss battle.

You'll get to fight a big robot called Goblin Roboid and three small versions of it. Start the fight with the machine gun to stun the bad guys then proceed with your combo. After defeating the enemies, a heart will drop near the exit in case you need to cover life points. Stage Power Plant Reactor Character: Fumoon The appearance of this stage will depend on the sensor stat of Astro.

If Astro has at least a level 2 sensor, he can view the stage properly. Otherwise, the stage is covered with steam. Anyway, your main goal in this stage is to get to the upper part of the reactor while avoiding the obstacles. At the start of stage, drop down and proceed to the right. You should be able to see a platform with the laser traps on its bottom. Stand on the left-side of this platform and attack.

You'll get the hit effect and you'll meet Fumoon if you continue attacking. If you're having a problem locating where to attack, use the machine gun to find the location. After meeting Fumoon and getting the power-up, make your way to the left while avoiding the lasers on the floor. Go up until you reach the laser beams and the pistons. Near the end of the stage, get the heart to recover lost life points. Go down and proceed to the next stage.

Stage Observation Deck Character: Hecate This is a straighforward stage. Destroy all enemies to proceed to the next stage. After defeating all the enemies, do not proceed to the viewing platform. Go to the upper-left of the screen to meet Hecate. This should make the next stage easier. Stage Astro vs. Atlas Upon reaching the viewing platform, Astro meets Daichi. Daichi goes on this talk about the "strongest robot" which surprises Astro. Daichi then informs Astro that he died three years ago.

His father has asked a certain Dr. Tenma to transfer his "memory" into a robot and he is now known as Atlas.

Menu principal

This whole mission is a set-up! Time for a boss battle. Just like in the "Artificial Sun" battle, Astro will use his jet boots to hover above the ground. During the first part of this fight, Atlas will have two attacks. He'll either use his HUGE beam cannon or perform a charging punch attack. The best way to defeat Atlas is to start the fight with the machine gun. Stay behind him and attack with the finger beam and arm cannon.

Three arm cannons should end the fight. Or whenever Atlas life point hits five. Atlas then goes on with this long rant about his current life. He claims that in his robot form, he has attained the final state of evolution -- far more superior than the humans could ever achieve.

He even mentions that robots should rule the humans because they are stronger. Atlas can do anything thanks to Dr. Time for round two. At the start of the fight, Atlas powers up and gains an electric "tail". He only uses the charging punch to attack but the tail can also damage Astro. The electric tail thingy moves in a counter-clockwise direction. Use the same strategy you used in round one to defeat Atlas. After the battle, an artificial hibernation capsule will drop from the ceiling. There's a girl inside and Atlas goes into a fit because he somehow remembers the girl.

Based on this events, Dr. Tenma will remark on how useless Atlas was. Atlas still had a "human heart" even though he was already a robot. But, he was still happy with the result of the fight. Chapter 4 "Lord Deadcross" Summary: The world gets to witness the first robot to be elected as president of the Antarctic. Astro will attend the inauguration ceremony of President Rag.

Aboard the Marine Express, Astro is bothered by the things he learned from Atlas. O'Shay kept this a secret? Will he become evil just like Atlas?

  • Oboe Quartet, K370 - Viola.

Things have gotten complicated for our hero indeed. Stage Antarctic President Character: Rag Upon arrival, Rag welcomes Astro and Wally. Rag will be placed in the Omega Factor and you'll get a power-up. Anyway, Astro feels honored to be part of the activities. Wally is worried about the "Black Looks" but Rag feels its normal for some people to doubt him since he is a robot.

Understanding and cooperation is still needed for things to work out. Hopefully, the Antarctic region will benefit with him as president and with the aid of the World Federation headed by Duke Red. Without warning, the Black Looks attack! This is yet another simple stage. Walk towards the left and defeat all the enemies. At the end of the stage, two Black Looks are harassing a humanoid robot. How can this girl be at the end of the stage when she was with Rag and Duke Red at the beginning of the stage? Rescue the girl by defeating all the enemies.

The girl introduces herself as Nuka, Duke Red's "daughter". It seems our hero is attracted to Nuka. Wally butts in and tells Astro that the bad guys are already escaping. Stage Above the Antarctic Ocean Time for another "hovering" shooting stage. At the start of the stage, Astro gets to meet the leader of the Black Looks. This stage does not need any complicated explanations. Defeat all the enemies using the finger beam and the super moves. At the end of the stage, you'll fight the boss. The boss uses his sword to create a shockwave attack. His vehicle fire missiles and will try to hit Astro.

The boss shares life points with his jet platform. Just aim your finger beam and the arm cannon on the vehicle. Stage Follow Carabs! But one of the goons mentioned of a French- developed armored warship called "Carabs". Anyway, the ship is planning to bomb the presidential office. Rag and the other people are in danger. Yay, another "hovering" shooting stage. Use the same strategy you used from the previous stage to finish this one. The only hard enemy in this stage is the giant Black Look at the end. Stage Robot Tank Carabs This is a boss battle.

The Carabs attacks using laser beams from its eye and small bullets from its mouth. Touching the body of the Carabs will deal damage to Astro. The weak point of the Carabs is its "head" or the front part. The battle starts with Astro at the back of the warship. You can either wait or go on the offensive. During the start of the battle, stay at the bottom moving towards the right. Use the machine gun to cancel the projectile of the opponent.

When you reach the right-side of the screen, use the arm cannon to damage the Carabs. When the Carabs tries to corner you, use the machine gun or the EX Dash to go to the other side. After the fight, Duke Red congratulates Astro for his impressive performance. Nuka even calls him the best robot in the world. Rag's inauguration ceremony finally kicks off. Unfortunately, the bad guys don't give up that easily. The leader of the enemies attacks Rag and introduces himself as Deadcross - protector of human rights and dignity.

Chapter 5 "Marine Express" Summary: With the trouble caused by Deadcross and the Black Looks in the Antarctic, the relationship between the humans and robots have become worse. The only way to save the situation is to arrest Deadcross and reveal his true identity and intentions. Stage Deadcross Escapes Character: Black Looks The stage starts with Deadcross escaping again. Anyway, this is a straightforward stage. Defeat all the enemies to advance. Just watch out for the mini and huge versions of the Black Looks.

At the end of the stage, you'll get the Black Looks for the Omega Factor. Kennedy The stage starts with Deadcross escaping again. When you gain control of Astro, go to your left and destroy the trash can. Kennedy is hiding inside it. He'll be added to the Omega Factor and you can upgrade any of Astro's abilities.

16. Digital Orthophoto Quadrangle (DOQ)

Now, go to your right and defeat the Black Looks. Stage Marine Express, Ruins Get ready for another shooting stage. Use the finger beam and your super moves to defeat the enemies. In case you still haven't noticed, the arm cannon is the best super move to use in shooting stages. The machine gun, even though an excellent move in the action stages, actually increases your time considerably in the shooting stages. Because the next wave of enemies will not appear until the first ones leave the screen or get blown up.

The Floor is Lava

At the end of the stage, you will fight the defense mechanism of the Marine Express. You are required to destroy these weapons to proceed. The Marine Express shoots laser beams, bullets in a circular pattern and a spread shot. After busting the three weapons, it will now use its main gun. It either shoots a pair of laser beams, spread bullets or some homing missiles. Destroy the weapon to proceed to the next stage.

Stage Marine Express, Inside Character: Deadcross The first thing you will notice in this stage is the wind. The wind will push Astro towards the left of the screen. Don't worry, you'll not be blown off the Marine Express. It only makes it more difficult to attack the enemies. You need to defeat the Black Looks on the roof to advance. Drop down and enter the passenger cabin.

Anyway, go to your right and defeat the Black Looks that will block your way. You can get another heart near the end of the stage after your talk with Wally. Walk towards the right and you will meet Deadcross with a big Roboid.

This will be a two-against-one fight. Deadcross will still have the same attack from stage The robot also has the same sword attack from stage Start the fight with the machine gun to stun Deadcross and the robot. Dash past them until and use combo attacks.

Astro unmasks him and our hero is surprised to see that he looks like President Rag. His real name is Rock and he was supposed to be the president. Rag was orginally made to be his assistant and give speeches. But Rag was already fed up with this charade and during one of the conventions, Rag told everyone that he is not Rock. He told everyone that he is a robot aiding Rock in his candidacy. Rag filed his own candidacy and won the elections.

And, the rest is history. Rock disguised himself as Deadcross to exact revenge on Rag and the robots. After Rock's long explanation, the Marine Express will be teleported to a different area and the stage ends. Chapter 6 "Lost World" Summary: Astro, Wally and Rock ends up in a lost empire due to time travelling.

Astro then meets an opponent who could possibly be most dangerous one he has ever met. Will Astro be able to defeat the bad guy and save the day? A vampire-looking guy welcomes them to the Mu Empire. He introduces himself as Don Dracula, a minister of the empire. Behind DonDra is Prince Sharaku, the three-eyed one.

Pook the White Lion appears to rescue Astro and company. They get to meet Queen Sapphire, the ruler of Mu Empire. Pook is surprised that Astro knows him. Wally thinks that they might have travelled back in time - something about the "Time Paradox" thingy. Anyway, things have gotten out of hand when Sharaku appeared in Mu. Sapphire suspects Sharaku of starting a rebellion. He plans of using the underground resources of the empire to take over the world. Anyway, Astro's goal is to find Sharaku. You will get to meet new enemies in this stage.

The soldier-type enemies carry a spear and a shield. When these enemies use their shield, they are completely invulnerable from frontal attacks. Dash past them and hit them at the back. Some of them carry a shield with a different color. These enemies can also use a projectile attack from their spears. The second type of enemy is the "moai on wheel". What the heck is a moai? It's the name of the stoneheads found on Easter Island. Anyway, you need to perform an air combo to defeat them. To finish the stage, just defeat all the enemies. Stage Legendary Mu Civilization Character: Unico At the start of the stage, defeat all the enemies that will appear in the screen.

After that, go to the top of the screen and reach the floating platform. If ever you reach the platform, destroy the statue and you'll meet Unico. Get back on the ground and defeat all the enemies. At the end of the stage, you'll fight two giant moai enemies. Stage Great Pyramid Character: Don Dracula Astro's goal in this stage is to reach the top of the pyramid. You can destroy those bladed obstacles to get points.

But I highly recommend that you just jump and jet over them. You are going to need the life points for the next stage. There is a secret area in this stage. Credit goes to Edwin Perodin for telling me about this one. Walk inside the gap, jump up and jet Continue to your right to find a hidden room, with a white weird monster Strike once, and it will give you a heart.

Striking once will release heart after heart until the final huge heart is released and the monster is no more If you are having problems accessing this area, make sure you're beside the C-shaped disc. Jump up and then jet downwards. You'll end up at the bottom of the screen. The monster actually attacks. At the top of the pyramid, destroy the second door of the Marine Express to meet Don Dracula again. This will give Astro another power-up. Proceed towards the right to go to the next stage.

Stage Ancient Prince Sharaku Character: Rock Just like what the stage title implies, Astro gets to challenge Sharaku in this stage. It's Sharaku's pyschic powers against Astro's , horse-power. This will be a "hovering" shooting boss battle. Sharaku has several attacks and they are: Spear - Sharaku uses his spear to stab Astro.

He can also summon several spears that will lock on Astro's current location. Aztlan - One of Sharaku's summons. Take note that the spear Sharaku throws while summoning can hit Astro. Anyway, Aztlan attacks using fireballs from the jewels that lines its body. These fireballs always go down. You can just go over Aztlan and you won't get hit. You can also destroy the jewels to prevent it from using the fireballs. Mictlan - One of Sharaku's summons. Mictlan leaves some ice crystals at its path.

To stop Mictlan from leaving those crystals, destroy its tail. Atonatiuh - When Sharaku moves his spear in a circular pattern, he will summon rocks to rain down on Astro. Take note that Sharaku is invincible during the entire attack animation. The rocks are easily avoided since you can already see where it will appear before it completely materializes.

The best way to start the fight is to use the machine gun. This will prevent Sharaku from using any of his attacks. Spam the finger beam, arm cannon and the machine gun. You'll learn about this later. After three months, preparations to return to the future has been finished. Astro explains to Wally that Sharaku has this ability of altering space and time.

Rock decides to stay and help find a solution to prevent the Mu Empire from sinking. He thinks it is the best thing to do since Rag will do an excellent job in the present. Good luck, "President" Rock! You'll get Rock for the Omega Factor and the stage ends. Chapter 7 "World's Strongest Robots" Summary: Since Astro and Wally travelled in time and altered certain events in history, what would happen to the time they originally came from? The robots have gone on a rampage and Astro needs to defeat the strongest robots in the world. Stage Versatile Robot: North Upon returning to the present, things have gotten so different.

It seems that five years had already passed since Astro and Wally disappeared. A huge robot will introduce himself as Pluto, one of Shadow's followers. He informs Astro that Shadow is waiting for him. The robots and humans started fighting after the assassination of President Rag. As any villain would tell you, you need loyal followers to get the job done. He introduces the world's strongest robots: North, Denkou, Brontus, Epsilon, and Pluto. Shadow wonders if the , horse-power of the legendary hero, Astro, will be able to stand against his psychic powers.

Could it be that Shadow is really? Astro first challenges the all-purpose robot called North. During the first part of this battle, North will just float while using his hands to block Astro's punches. If Astro uses the arm cannon or a combo attack, North will counter-attack. To defeat North, jump and punch him once. This will make North raise one of his hands to block the attack. When he does this, you can either: Air dash towards the open side and punch him. Use the machine gun followed by the arm cannon. Use the finger beam. This fight will probably take some time if you don't use the arm cannon.

When North receives enough damage, he will show his six different arms. North will now attack or defend using one of his arms. The arms, from the upper-left, counter- clockwise, are: Start the fight with a machine gun and this will stun North. Proceed with an air combo and finish it with one of your super moves.

Repeat until you defeat North. You will get North for the Omega Factor after the fight. Power-up any of Astro's stats and proceed to the next boss, Denkou. Stage Invisible Robot: Denkou Denkou is the second boss of this chapter. Denkou's only form of attack is his time bombs. Combo him and make sure he is not able to use his optical camouflage. In case Denkou had the chance to become invisible, you need to hit the sensors located on the different platforms.

During the first time Denkou becomes invisible, you need to hit one sensor. The second time, you are required to hit two. And three sensors for the rest of the battle. At the start of the fight, immediately use the machine gun attack to stop Denkou from running away. Combo him and make sure you end it with the machine gun.

Repeat until you defeat Denkou. You can defeat him in less than 20 seconds. You'll get Denkou for the Omega Factor. Upgrade any of Astro's ability and proceed to the next battle. Stage Armored Robot: Brontus Your next opponent will be the armored robot, Brontus. Brontus has three forms of attack. He either bounces around the stage, transform into a spiked ball, or fire two to three big projectiles from his chest. Just like what his name implies, Brontus boasts his defense.

Navigation menu

He is only vulnerable when he shows his weak point, his core found on his chest. Basically, you need to evade his attacks and wait until he shows his weak point. When the core appears, attack with machine gun to stun Brontus. Use a combo attack and end it with the arm cannon. Clearly, A Bird in the House as a collection of stories has proved an artistic and a popular success. In Dance on the Earth , Laurence records her battles over this issue: Or is it both? Critics have been divided on this question. Native Women of Western Canada: Here, Laurence satirizes the confusion that Ware notes.

Vanessa also romanticizes Piquette: Her father urges her to listen to the loons and to remember their cry because, when more people move to the lake, the loons will leave. The loons used to be there, nesting on the shore, when I was a child, and we used to hear their eerie unforgettable cry. The loons did move away when the cottages increased in number and more and more people came in. How had she failed so deeply—and how had we?

When I was young, fires in winter among the collection of destitute shacks at the foot of the hill, in the valley below town, were tragically common. Years later, when I lived in Vancouver, I used to read in the newspapers about fires destroying the flimsy shanties of native peoples. Something about that fire, and the terrible and unnecessary waste of lives, must have almost obsessed me, for that event came into my fiction twice more after the short story—a relatively brief reference in my novel The Fire-Dwellers , and a long scene and many other references in my novel The Diviners.

Such symbolism has been addressed by various critics. The focus of all the stories in A Bird in the House is Vanessa and her developing perception of people. There is no guarantee that an audience will receive and understand the irony as it was intended. Hence, irony can be more accurately understood as the layering of different perspectives that create multiple voices or visions. Intriguing as this racial controversy is, I wish to suggest an alternate focus for the story.

Lyall Powers reports in Alien Heart: Donez Xiques confirms, in Margaret Laurence: She explains how she fictionalised fact: She was, not surprisingly, very shy and withdrawn, and I was puzzled by her at the time. Only many years later did I realize how unhappy she must have been. I learned something about her when we were both grown up—she did indeed marry an English-Canadian, and the marriage turned out badly. I never heard anything more. She became the basis of the character of Piquette Tonnerre.
