I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are solely my own. Aug 31, Ashley rated it it was amazing Shelves: I was so happy to be back in Eagle Harbor and to catch up with all the characters. I was a bit leery of Gilbert. He wasn't the most likeable character in the previous books. So, it was really nice to get a deeper look at him, to understand where he was coming from and why he acted the way he did. He's a complex and misunderstood guy. I loved seeing him in a new light and he quickly beca The Eagle Harbor Series is quickly becoming one of my favorite series and Love's Sure Dawn is the best one yet!

I loved seeing him in a new light and he quickly became my favorite character. I've been eager for Rebekah's story since her very first appearance in book one. She's a feisty and stubborn tomboy who often acts without thinking things through. So I wondered who would be her perfect match. At first, I couldn't see how Rebekah and Gilbert would ever be a good match. They're complete opposites and come from completely different social standings.

Then all of a sudden, I realized how absolutely perfect they were for each other. It was really great watching their growth. The characters in this series face seemingly insurmountable odds, always leaving me to wonder how things could possibly work out. But one of my absolute favorite aspects of these books is Rawlings' brilliant ability at shining a light on God's greatness and showing that anything is possible with Him.

I cannot recommend this series highly enough!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and comments are my own honest opinion. Sep 21, Brittany rated it it was amazing. I enjoyed this story, which is book three, just as much as the first two novels. I knew that this would probably be a very interesting pairing between Gilbert and Rebekah, both of whom I was familiar with from earlier books. Although there were hints of a heart change toward the end of that story and the possibility that there might be hidden feelings and history between these two characters, I still did not like him!

However, the author did a great job of making him likeable in this latest novel! I am always impressed when an author can change my opinion of a character from one book to the next. Even as he set his sights on a wealthy heiress, I understood why he thought this was the path he must take. I did love seeing him try to handle the feelings that Rebekah evoked! She also grew on me.

I never disliked her, but she was fairly rough in the earlier books, wearing pants and working the fishing boats. It was refreshing to see her growth in this book. She actually ended up being a character with a lot of empathy for others. Her spiritual and emotional journey was a beautiful one.

I am definitely looking forward to future books in this series. These novels can be read as stand alone books, but I definitely recommend the entire set of stories. The characters continue to show up in future books and it is so enjoyable to know their back stories. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. You can read this review on my blog at: Nov 07, Kathy Heare Watts rated it it was amazing Shelves: I love series and seeing people we find in previous stories and meeting new ones.

This story did not fail to share so many emotions of love, forgiveness, and acceptance. This story has a strong lesson and reminder of seeking God first in everything and waiting on his guidance in our life. The story kept me captivated and the pages turning. There is a great cast of characters, witty and enlightening dialog and just the right amount of angst between characters. I love how when God and His will is placed first everything else seems to fall into place. This story does not leave on a cliffhanger.

I look forward to many more books in this wonderful series. I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts, opinions, and ratings are my own.

Sep 26, Honour Fraiser rated it really liked it. There was a good variety of plot and I felt like I could relate to the characters more than the others in the series. Definitely worth the read. May 13, Lynda Knapp rated it really liked it. Rebekah and Gilbert's story was very well-written. I did enjoy this Eagle Harbor book and will read more of them. Twilight True Love and You - teaser for new book about Twilight

A good lesson in how we must bend sometimes to meet God's will. Oct 20, Cynthia Marcano rated it it was amazing. Love's Sure Dawn is one of those rare books where I loved both main characters. Rebekah Cummings is a sassy heroine that goes after what she believes in. She is a strong character that I couldn't help but root for her wholeheartedly. My love for hero character Gilbert Sinclair astounds me. If you read Love's Evey Whisper Naomi's previous novel in which Gilbert is also a central character -you can read my review HERE - you can fully appreciate my astonishment.

How Naomi managed to What I Loved How Naomi managed to make me fall in love with the same Gilbert in this novel still boggles my mind. Naomi did such a great job not changing the essence of Gilbert keeping him a true and consistent character from one book to the next. She took me on a journey to discover why Gilbert was worth loving despite his many flaws all without changing who he was. The introduction to new characters and future lead characters was seamless and not forced.

There were a few "I didn't see that coming" moments which are always a treat. The cover is lovely and I pictured Rebekah that way throughout the book which is rare for me. Most of the time I have a whole different picture in my head of what characters look like. It will enhance your reading experience, especially for Gilbert's story.

So Naomi released three books within a very short amount of time. Her next book in the series isn't due to be released until winter I think Naomi you spoiled me with quick release dates. I may never recover having to wait a year! As a writer I completely understand. As a fan, I am crushed.

If you haven't read any of the books in the series, pick them all up, you won't be disappointed.

This book was provided by the author in an exchange for a review. The opinion of this book, is my own and I was not paid or compensated for my review. Christian Fiction Addict Blog Sep 29, Elizabeth rated it it was amazing. Rawlings weaves another historical Christian romance that will leave you wanting more. The story and the characters were so alive that you think you are right there with them.

The author pulled me in right at the very start. Gilbert Sinclair was always the rich kid when they were growing up. He now wants to marry an heiress with money. He thinks love will not matter. Rebekah Cummings grew up with Gilbert , but she thinks he has changed. Rebekah is thought of as the woman who goes around in mens clothes all the time. She and her brother does not see eye to eye about things. Her brother still wants to protect her. She would like to prove that she can take care of herself.

Eagle Harbor has always been her home. Gilbert starts to have feelings for Rebekah , but he cannot let his heart go in that direction, he needs money. What does Rebekah think of Gilbert? Be sure and grab you some copies of this series, I know you will love them as I have. I was given a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review, which I have given.

The Wrath and the Dawn

Her characters are richly deep and became as real to me as if they were present in the flesh. I'm anxious for the next release. Nov 20, Kav rated it it was amazing. Rawling writes some of the best sparring scenes I've ever read. But then, this author isn't known for being kind to her heroes and heroines which is fine by me since it makes for a compelling and angsty read.

Fans of the Eagle Harbor series will already be acquainted with Rebekah and Gilbert from the previous two books. No worries if you haven't read the first two stories because this one also reads well as a Rawling writes some of the best sparring scenes I've ever read. No worries if you haven't read the first two stories because this one also reads well as a standalone, though I have to admit to being particularly eager for this romance. Rebekah is an interesting character. A tomboy way past the age when running wild is acceptable, she's gotten away with it in the small lakeside community.

But though she's as adventurous and courageous as her brothers, she chafes at the protective restrictions they place upon her. So what's a stifled little sister to do? Take matters into her own hands. Cue humour and adventure and a few heart-stirring situations that bring these two together in a clash of wills and long buried desire. A feisty, toe-curling romance that will keep you hooked right to the very end. My thanks to the author for providing me with a review copy of this book. Dec 06, Glenn Haggerty rated it it was amazing Shelves: Really entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable.

Oct 21, Ishara Dasruth rated it it was ok. While a good storyline, this book became a very tedious read. Alex, a rapier wielding heroine who could out throw most men with her knife skills, kept getting injured every couple of chapters. As for the hero, Declan, and his indecisive behaviour Nov 20, Michele H Williams rated it really liked it. Old fashion charming love story This tale reminds me of the style many swashbuckling love stories many books were written in in the '60's. Aug 29, LaCinda Tilton rated it really liked it. This story has it all. It was filled with reluctant lovers, true romance, deception and adventure and a happily ever after ending. It was a fun book. May 14, Tamara rated it liked it. As a woman in she's not supposed to have estates by herself when immediate family have perished; and a cousin's threat will loom over her neck throughout the whole book. Suffice to say, this book won't be all love and action from , it has so much more. Characters feelings will reign this world upside down: It has enough action from the historical view, it has enough comedy to keep you turning the pages not outright humor, I'm afraid, but enough and the blossoming romance between Alex and Declan will be the main attraction; and the jealousy will be around as well although this part was seriously noncommittal And finally the happy ending.

Many caused by Alex attempting to get Declan out of her life which in fact cause him to like her more. An interesting story with a most unconventional heroine, one quite different than other Ladies of the Ton according to Declan. She learns that her grandfather loved her more than she realized.

He provided her with the only man who could possibly understand and love her by making that man her guardian. Jun 08, Cayla rated it liked it. Dawn Ireland is clearly talented. The story line is good. Alex and Declan are well-developed characters who provide some decent dialogue. Believe me, the potential is there. My primary issue with this book is that the author does not transition well from one character's viewpoint to the other. Sable's writing transports you to whatever location her story takes place in.

It often takes the right person to soften the heart we've allowed to harden because of past hurts, and such is the case with Scott and Lia.

They've both been left with emotional scars that neither ever believed would heal, but in each other they found the balm that would sooth and heal and allow them to look for and want something they never thought they needed or wanted. I am a huge fan of Sable Hunter's work and it's because her stories contain characters who aren't perfect and who face the same type challenges many face in their own lives, yet they come out stronger in the end because of them. I loved this sexy, heartwarming story!

Lia Houston grew up in the mountains of Arkansas to a single mom, who herself was a single mom, and was subject to bullying and town gossip. After she's taken advantage of and ridiculed by the first man she gives herself to, she decides love doesn't exist. She spends most of her time with her hound dog Elvis, writing country music songs and living a solitary existence in her mountain home.

Scott Walker is a brain surgeon who gave up on love after his college girlfriend spurned him when he proposed to her. Since then he's been a man-whore, spending time with beautiful, big-boobed women with no plans to ever settle down. His latest fling plans a weekend stay at a cabin in Arkansas, but they get in a fight and Scott goes alone.

He ends up at the cabin in a snow storm, with Lia helping him out and they get stuck together for a couple of days. I loved how these two love-shy people found each other and learned to trust again. Both characters were very likeable and the story was interesting and enjoyable. The Hell Yeah series is nearly nauseating in it's sweetness and Happily Ever After endings, but there are times when that sweetness and hope for better becomes as necessary as air.

I've read a lot of heartbreakingly sad books lately, and that's what lead me back to Sable Hunter's promise of a Happily Ever After again. Number 12 in the Hell Yeah series was just a short story pages in the overall series and part of the special Red Hot Valentine author collaboration. Not much in the way of conflict and obstacles for them to the bed or the heart, but as I said, I really needed easy. Lots and lots of sex, not at all appropriate for under Sable Hunter offers what is called "Sweeter Versions" of her stories for younger or more sensitive readers that are smut free.

I'm sure one will be offered for this book as well soon. If there had been better editing, I would have given this work a higher rating. While I enjoyed the plot and the characters, the spelling errors and the grammar mistakes were simply occurring too often to overlook. The one thing that annoyed me was the author's continued use of "cum" to mean has an orgasm. I believe "cum" is either a noun to mean semen or a preposition meaning with. Perhaps the author thought this was cute.

Really enjoyed this one, I loved Scott and Lia. I was happy they found each other as they'd be treated poorly by people they loved before and it had them doubting that love existed until they met by accident. I love that it looks like Scott will be adopted into the McCoy fold as well and that Aron has reached out to the chemist who gave him the drugs but risked her life to try and ensure he didn't lose them permanently and that he's offering to bring her to Texas so she can continue her research into curing cancers. I love it that each book has a HEA but still brings previous characters and some new ones for us to love. I first heard about Sable Hunter with the book "Cowboy Heat". I fell in love with the McCoy family and Sable's writing at the same time and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every book.

Her characters just grab your heart and pull you into their lives with them. Each b Another fantastic book!!!!! Each book is a 5 star read I highly recommend reading these books, in order to fully enjoy the family and friends you meet along the way. This story covered almost every emotion for mankind! I started out really not liking Scott. He was superficial, egotistical and a playboy But then he had the audacity to turn out to be a God-fearing, compassionate and empathetic person.

Imagine that, a doctor who cares! I liked Lia's wit and humor from the start. I love when a good girl gets rewarded with her prince!!!! This one melted my heart and I really don't do romance!! However I was ch Loved it!!! However I was challenged to read mostly romance books for this year's Goodreads Reading Challenge. This one made it easy. Scott has been burned by love in the past, so he now has a very cavalier attitude towards it. He had planned a romantic getaway with his latest flame, but after their break-up that did little to affect him in any way, he decides to go on his own.

There he meets Lia Houston. Lia also has been unlucky in love, but maybe together Scott and Lia will find something worth fighting for. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. She writes sexy contemporary stories full of emotion and suspense. Her focus is mainly cowboy and novels set in Louisiana with a hint of the supernatural. Sable writes what she likes to read and enjoys putting her fantasies on paper. Her books are emotional tales where the heroine is faced with challenges.

Her aim is to write a story that will make you laugh, cry and swoon.
