The pictures in this one are pretty, and the animals are rendered in such a cute way personally, I thought the bear was wonderful. This book is a really nice one to read to celebrate the onset of spring, and the kids can have a lot of fun trying to guess what annoying animal is waking up everyone in the forest with hi Possum and the Peeper was another of my nephew's library picks today, and while I think he liked the story ok, I really think this is one that his sister would have enjoyed more.

Sweet story about a noisy critter who celebrates the beginning of Spring very loudly. My husband considers these critters to be a nuisance, but I love them. The illustrations, created with watercolor, colored pencil, and ink, are colorful, cartoonish, and have a lot of fun details depicting a gorgeous spring day.
