Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. If we can get people the help they need, we can prevent suicide. About one year later, the foundation began in Joe was a very unique person. Our foundation continues to be a major supporter of the summit. We also sponsor scholarships for people who want to attend the summit but cannot afford the registration fee. In we paid for 13 individuals to attend, many of who had lost a loved one to suicide. Are you or is someone you know considering suicide?

Stacy Donovan had a really tough childhood and then suffered a heartbreak which has her throwing herself heart and soul into a charity campaign that helps feed the hungry. She gardens and raises vegetables for food pantries and those in need. Sounds awesome, but the operation is in dire financial straits. It's all she can do to suppress an eye roll. Joe suffered the worst pain a human can endure, lost his marriage, and is now on a mission to put people before success and and business.

When he meets Stacy there is instant chemistry, but Stacy is a closed door. She opens her gardens and all it's fruit to those in need, but doesn't open her heart to anyone. With Joe in her life, Stacy is beginning to see what she has been missing out on. But , her trust issues are serious and run deep. Will he end up pushing Joe away? All these books are short stories or novellas and many are free in the Kindle store.

All the stories are written around the lives of real people which is such an awesome idea. This was a really great story I think may people are like Stacy and Joe in one way or another and well, I could see why both characters were at this crossroads in their lives and how difficult it would be for Stacy to let someone in. But, she does at least open her eyes before she loses her chance at a fulfilling life with Just Joe.

I would have loved a little more insight into the charity and the work they do for it. The characters were good and I actually liked them together. Along comes a real estate developer named Joe who has decided he wants more out of life than work and money. He tries to win Stacy's heart but she does not want to let him in due to the issues she has with her father.

The romance portion of the story was cute, but not developed well enough. Instead we got a great story about Stacy working on the dance contest, the little "twist" at the end, and then some tension and everything is resolved. I'm not really sure that Stacy should just drop everything and trust Joe just because he volunteers at the gardens. But since the author was probably given guidelines of the length of the story [i. It doesn't take away the enjoyment of reading about the heroines who help her community, but as a romance, it was light and on the surface.

Stacy has been hurt by men in her past so when Joe shows interest in her outside volunteering for her charity food farm the first thing she worries about is how long it will be before he leaves. Joe is still reeling from a loss in his past but when he meets Stacy his world becomes brighter and his heart sings for the first time in years, just like her though he finds himself questioning those feelings. As things progress a se Sometimes we cannot see the forest for the trees, or something like that.

As things progress a serious misunderstanding between the two almost drives them apart, like all good romance stories though this one ends on a high note for Joe, Stacy and her beloved charity.
