Unfortunately, my kiddos wouldn't eat it. They liked it a little better after I would mix up a batch in my ninja food processor and after it soaked for a while, turned it into puree. They still weren't crazy about it and I had a lot of waste. I feel like there were just too many vegetables for cats- they aren't omnivores like dogs well dogs are closer to omnivores than cats are. It doesn't have a strong odor like most wet cat food. He would eat all the meat bits out, and some of the veggies, but mostly I'd find his veggies pulled out of the bowl and on the floor.

Mixing it with his normal wet food did not work well, he stopped eating altogether as soon as the ratio got too high. My other cat is an overweight cat with food allergies, and this was very good for helping her slim down. She's a 'dry food whore' and eventually learned to eat wet food. She started off well after I started mixing it into a puree, but eventually she turned up her nose. She'd eat maybe a quarter of what she was supposed to at each meal, leaving the rest to waste. We never made it out of the mixing old with new food phase. On the plus side, her normally loose and very smelly poops went away.

Rather than let the food go to waste, I gave my parent's the rest of the bag for their dog since the ingredients are so simple that it shouldn't upset a dog tummy the way normal cat food does. The dog adored it and seemed to think it was the best thing ever.

My parent's are going to get the dog version for her. Although my dog is Sojos eater, the cat does not like Sojos. Mixed it in small amount to his normal wet food, but picked around it, especially the carrots looked like tiny bits of carrots. Will continue Sojos dog but not the cat.

Dehydrated Food Taste Challenge - Just Add Water

Sorry, but have a question instead of a comment. I cannot find anywhere that gets into the specifics of a true emergency, where at some point hot water may be difficult to come by. With freeze-dried food including meals , just adding water will do the trick. We always recommend having some sort of alternative method to cooking, like a camp stove, so if you do need to boil water in an emergency, you will have that ability. But, yes, freeze-dried food just needs water; no need to boil. Would you like me to market your products in Singapore? Just send me your samples and price up to one container load?
