Why would you want to spend a night in Port Villa if you can stay here in Paradise. Perfect place to relax. The bungalow is clean. Plentiful tasty food served with a smile. We explored the island, learned lots from the friendly locals. We would love to go back. By picking it we hit the jackpot and stayed for 10 nights - absolute bliss! The perfect spot to unwind and recharge during our 11 weeks Vanuatu Experience. The north-western tip of Pele is the most sheltered spot from the trade winds with lots of sunshine, white sand beach, beautiful snorkeling at the marine reserve, great Round the Island Walk at low tide and an ancient village fortifications to explore close by.
Enock will happily guide you and give advise, he is a most obliging host! Why stay in Port Vila when you can have your own little paradise so close by and affordable, no cars to anoy you, friendly islanders to talk to and busy children to watch enjoying themselves in and on the water in their canoes.
It is really a great experience. If you do the tour of the island: It is great, but there is a part that is harder, with lots of volcanic rocks that you will have to climb up. To do that from Takaus, go up north-east towards Nguna island first. Locals will tell you that it takes 1 or 2 hours, so count a good 3 hours, if not four if you like to stop by for shells, pictures or people.
The village at the south tip is beautiful.
