Christmas pyramids, or Weihnachtspyramiden , are another traditional staple in German households when it comes to Christmas decoration. Just like the two ornaments mentioned before, Christmas pyramids also originate from the Erzgebirge in Eastern Germany.
A Christmas pyramid consists of a pyramidal outer frame usually containing spots for about four tea candles and a pyramid-shaped, usually decorated carousel with a rotor at the top.
