Every time I had the characters' story "figured out", they went into a spin They didn't necessarily come out pointing in a different direction, but the author wasn't going where I thought for sure she was. I gave it four stars because it is not a story that can be universally accepted, otherwise it was a great read and I recommend it. O'Callan strikes an important chord with this novel, addressing the serious problems of teen suicide, drug abuse, gang life, and "fitting in. This book incorporates a lot of spirituality into its perspectives, but I think, regardless of the reader's personal beliefs, there is a great deal of wisdom and comfort offered within the pages. But I must say, even though reading some of this the other night made me sooo immensely angry I had to put it down, today was another day and finishing it up did enjoy the concept of the book. In her new novel, Kelly explores the themes of regrets, family, and the wish that we could solve the mysteries of the human condition. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I found it enlightening and thought-provoking and I was pleasantly surprised at Kelly's ability to explore the human psyche in such a down-to-earth manner. Great editorial job as well. The story was connected and easy to read.

Bubblehead I liked this book because it was truly different in a good way. My only criticism is the ending seemed rushed, But don't let that stop you from reading this book. The author wraps you into this story and makes it totally believable.
