Controlling the Wolf (A Werewolf Erotica)

There was quite a bit of action here - the wolf fight was pretty messy and painful to the imagination. Marcy Jacks is quite descriptive when it comes to bites, pounding and smashing and gore, so I felt the pads of my feet tingling at the gore. This is surprising as I am not in any way fearful of gore. The tingling was good! However, the Omega In Control was a bit of a disappointment in terms of the romance between Josh and Taylor.

Theirs was a romance that did not quite reach me as much as Roarke's and Westley's did. There was a bit of BDSM and sex toys in the mix, but again, it did not quite work for me either. Although I must say that the thought of an Omega being in control does not have that same kind of impact as an alpha doing the dominating so that may just be it. However, as I said, the overall arc of the series was well written and the plot for the series developed very well.

This is the main reason why I rated it a 3. So yes, I will definitely rate this as one series that I am most likely to follow, especially after that ending and sneak peek! Again, curiosity if getting the better of me, but in a truly good way. Aug 02, Hc rated it liked it Shelves: At one point, I thought.. Josh, our half-breed, hooks up with his mate. Seeing as Taylor has major issues being the submissive half, Josh as the alpha is willing to do anything to give them a chance.

I thought this spoke highly of his character that he's going against his nature as the dominating factor for his mate. Thou I must say that the 'trickle' of power through their connection should have Interesting Thou I must say that the 'trickle' of power through their connection should have been a dead giveaway to them that they weren't fully bonded. I did have some problems with the fight scene near the end, seeing as the alphas don't fight back to save Taylor and that a whole bunch of luna wolves show up right then to basically save the day.

This kind of diminished Roarke in my eyes. Yes, I know that's not fair seeing as they are clearly outnumbered but this is more to the fact that they didn't even try to shift. Oh wait, the luna form is slower and easier to take advantage of Would have liked to see Josh in luna form.. Perhaps in a future book we'll get a chance. With the end of the book being the set up for the next, again.. Must say the author is reeling me in again.. Can't wait to get the down low on this and see who's matched up with who Sep 30, Diane Dannenfeldt rated it really liked it Shelves: I have enjoyed the books from this author so far.

The relationship between these two was kind of odd but overall I did like it. Even though Tyler is not an Alpha, he didn't hesitate to jump into the fight to help defend their small pack. I liked how they didn't push Art out just because he was a bear shifter. Wish the baby would have been born already. I wonder how long they are pregnant for. It appears that poor Westley has been pregnant 12 mths or so. My issue is not the stories them self but t I have enjoyed the books from this author so far.

My issue is not the stories them self but the cost of the e-books. If they were full length novels and not novellas I wouldn't hesitate. I will most definitely be keeping my eye on them should the prices drop to a more reasonable amt, or the stories get longer. I have enjoyed this more than I thought I would, and I am planning to read the next book. I am a little confused on the women situation. In the previous book, Josh had said he had only liked girls in the past, but seemed fine finding a male mate Also, I might remember it wrong I thought that it was said that they were an all male race..

See a Problem?

Anytime a female is referenced, it has be scratching my head. I like the little lead ins to the next book, at the end. I liked the concept of the omega dominating the alpha, and I like that the next book has the omega leaving an abusive alpha. Not at many sex scenes as the previews story, however, these guys for sure are horny and the author is making sure you know about it. I never thought I will say this but, can we have more plot and less sex next time?

I really like to know more about this kind of shifters and some of the new characters are looking very interesting. Jul 07, Shibumi rated it liked it Shelves: Liked the book and where the series is headed so far. Glad there's 18 already Only issue I had with it was in book one Josh appeared to only have slept with women then in book to all of a sudden he knew what to do with a male mate as well as already in the past had had anal sex?

This one really shined. I liked the first book in the series but this time I loved how the alpha sacrificed for his Omega. He was willing to give up control to make his lover more comfortable. A book that is well written, no matter how dumb I think it is, automatically rates higher on my scale of 1 to 5.

I guess it can be discussed whether the plot is good or bad, or even there at all. Because this book is one huge orgy with a basic plot at the beginning to lead into the orgy, and a little bit of So. Because this book is one huge orgy with a basic plot at the beginning to lead into the orgy, and a little bit of plot to wrap the story up nicely. Though, the book ends on the biggest orgy of them all, with six "people" in the bed.

This book is just so cheesy with all the orgies, that I couldn't help but love it. The cheesiness that is. But rather than being plot driven, or having solid characters, it's all a huge multiple menage fantasy. You even get some tail! All this orgy going on non-stop gets tiring after a while. It quickly goes from sexy to just plain weird. I had to skim through large chunks of all this porn. At times it was borderline bestiality. So a little bit of almost ick going on.

But I wanted to see how the "plot" was wrapped up, so I powered through. Almost wish I hadn't. There wasn't much plot to speak of, and that final 6 person-orgy at the end was just Oh, and it's only the girl that gets all the attention here, no boy on boy action. Not even any boy on boy flirting to break things up a little. Apparently all this author writes is erotica, and having read Claimed by the Wolf , does not tempt to read anything else by this author. When it gets to be too much of a good thing, it becomes work to read it, and I read because I want to escape, to be entertained, without having to think too much about it.

If this last part made any sense to anyone but me, I'll be surprised. I was looking forward to reading something interesting when I picked this up but really it was gross!!! That's where the five guardians of the gate come in. They are supposed to keep the book out of the hands of evil but didn't know where it was until now. The dark book has a mind of it's own and buries all of it's dark spells and magic int 0. The dark book has a mind of it's own and buries all of it's dark spells and magic into Sybil.

The guardians now have to watch out for her but the thing is she can't control the magic. But there is a way, In order to do that she needs to get the mark of the goddess for whom the guardians work for. So she says yes to the mark. Now wait for it I mean can you say gross! I understand some people might be into that but that is gross.! She loves all of them but she is in love with Kenrick the wolf. So, she ends up being his mate and his wife as well as being a junior wife to all the others!!!! This book was not at all romantic in any way and every single good fighting scene ends up with her having sex with one of the guys!

Claimed by the Wolf

I didn't like that at all. I mean where's the romance in that!? I am pissed as hell cause I really was looking forward to the book! What a waste of my money! In my opinion, there was way too much sex for my liking like every single page. Now don't get me wrong sure I like romance in my reading but not a freaking porno book! I am just surprised I finished! Also, although some might think Sybil had to sleep with them, she was given a choice and could have said no!

She acted like a slut and kept on repeating how much she hated it when in head she kept on saying she wanted more! I honestly don't think I will read any other book in the series, if ever one comes out. View all 4 comments. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Sybil is a fledgling witch who happens upon a book that opens the gate to the shadow realms. Since the magic is far too strong for her to handle, she calls for the aid of the goddess, Inanna. In walks Kenric, a wolf shifter, who is one of the five Shadow Guardians.

To save Sybil, he takes her back to Xanadu where Sybil is told that since she threw herself on the goddess's mercy, she will have to accept her mark and serve the goddess. Well, serving the goddess Inanna, who is a goddess of sex, mea Sybil is a fledgling witch who happens upon a book that opens the gate to the shadow realms.

Well, serving the goddess Inanna, who is a goddess of sex, means she has to have sex with each of the five guardians. Holy hell, and does she ever! There is Kadar, the dragon man; Abaran, the demon; Adrian, the vampire; and Ronan, a fae.

This book totally blew my mind and gives new meaning to "share and share alike" - lol. If you are looking for a book with sex so hot, it will make you want take up residence in a walk-in freezer, this is the book for you. The Hot Wolf Werewolves on HEAT Audiobook 1

This one had me blushing basically through the entire book. The plot was simple, quite uncomplicated considering the dangers surrounding it. But the guardians are all HOT!!!!!!!!!!! I must tip my hat to Sybil because I know I could not have handled all five of these guys on my best juggling days! LOL The only reason I give this one 3 stars is because it just doesn't sit well with me if a man claims a woman for his mate, for him to be okay, more than okay, with his fellow Brothers sharing WHEW!!! LOL The only reason I give this one 3 stars is because it just doesn't sit well with me if a man claims a woman for his mate, for him to be okay, more than okay, with his fellow Brothers sharing her equally.

Although hot and obviously all of them cared a great deal for Sybil, even treated her as their treasured Queen, it still seems just degrading to be shared in this capacity when a commitment has been established. If you are looking for an erotic read with a bit of suspense, then I would recommend this read. Mar 18, Darcy rated it liked it Shelves: While I liked this book, I did have some problems with it. The first was Sybil's easy acceptance of her fate, sex with 5 men who are strangers and then to be tied to all of them for life.

With each man getting to spend 24 hours with her, then to hand her off to the next, it made for the straight or so pages of sex scenes make sense, but did give me pause. What woman could handle that, not be incredibility sore and able to walk, but I digress. I really liked how each of the men were so differe While I liked this book, I did have some problems with it. I really liked how each of the men were so different, from their species to their personalities.

Each of them treated Sybil so different, but that was part of the fun. I also expected the ending, the hints were very obvious. I do look forward to reading more in this series, because even with my issues it was enjoyable to read. View all 7 comments. Teglia is new to me, recommended by one of the goodreads groups as April '11 BOM. I was a bit skeptical to read this book. I ended up enjoying it a lot.

The narration was fun from Sybil's point of view. The five studly men she sleeps with turned me on. Each of the men had their unique sexual kink. While the premise of the story was rather weak and the characters weren't fully developed, I still enjoyed the sex scenes so much, I'm ranking it a 4 star.

I'm even going to look for other books by Ms. I'm even going to look for other books by this author. This book was just not for me. I am ok with lots of sex and ok with shifter sex of all kinds what I am not really ok with is really no character development and I felt like I was reading an excerp from play girl fantasies. Just not for me I need to like the characters I am reading about. Mar 02, Dina rated it liked it Shelves: I was pleasantly surprised to find some humor in this book: View all 3 comments. It's partially the way it's written--lots of sentences like "His heated male flesh met soft feminine surrender" referring to genitalia or "Flesh mated" again, referring to genitalia. At least it was all consensual. And, for once in erotica, there wasn't anything all that offensive or horrifying or dehumanizing or rapey.

Which shouldn't be saying a lot in this book's favor, but in this genre, it absolutely is.

The Omega in Control

So I must tip my hat to the author for that. Although, I feel like this book is like, "Look at me! Look how kinky I am! If you haven't read any fantasy or sci-fi erotica, this would be a better place to start than most, since, as I said, it's mostly mild and inoffensive. Compared to what else is out there, anyway. Boring, completely unromantic, unintentionally hilarious softcore porn. And thus, I'll continue on my seemingly impossible quest for decent erotica elsewhere.

Aug 06, L. Olteano rated it liked it Shelves: Originally posted at Butterfly-o-Meter Books on Aug 8 Just looking at the cover, what does it make you think of? Never mind, this is another tangent. Ok, so, the cover looks yummy. Dark and sexy and all; maybe not so much original, but yummy no doubt. On to the content. I was really getting into it, after the first pages of the first chapter. It looked very, very promising, curses, witches, all kinds of supernatural beings, stud-muffins, the works. One thing is for sure, Charlene Teglia knows how to make her readers chuckle.

Her writing style is very entertaining, easy to follow, fun, full of suggestive imagery. On the writing itself, it could easily be a 5 out of 5. The plot was well thought out; it had a clear, consistent direction, and there was some battle action as well as couple-action Can I call it that? I will say though there could have been a lot more development of the plot, and it would have permitted it quite well, because it was well thought out.

Claimed by the Wolf (Shadow Guardians, #1) by Charlene Teglia

However, the author chose not to go too in-depth with it. Instead, she went very in-depth with the sex, no pun intended. Let me explain that. Sybil has to go through 5 lovers to get the mark of this war slash sex goddess, in order to undo the harm she unwittingly does opening one of the gateways between the human world and the realm of shadows, demons and the likes.

The ease, or more like pleasure, with which Sybil goes through these 5 lovers, and then keeps them as lovers, to all their mutual pleasure, sort of made me lose interest, really. The sex was hot, but it also seemed shallow; and of course it would seem that way to me, intimacy is not something I associate with multiple partners.

I did very much like the fact that each of the 5 guardians had their own flavor, their own brand of fun. Over all, there was a lot of sex, and I mean a lot, enough plot, and a lot of fun going on. Now to stop the hordes of demons and a coven of witches from taking over, she must join forces with the Shadow Guardians—an elite force put together by the goddess Inanna. However, in order to receive the goddess' mark, she must give herself to each Shadow Guardian for 24 hours.

This book is completely about the sexual relationship between Sybil and each of these men—Kenric the werewolf , Kadar the dragon , Ronan the sidhe , Adrian vampire , and Abaran demon. There is plenty of group sex, anal, and very mild BDSM. While there is a story, it seems to be more of a vehicle for the sex. If you pick this book up for anything other than erotica, you will be sorely, sorely disappointed. That being said, the story that was there was rather interesting; however, I wish the author had spent a little more time with it.

It seemed too easy for Sybil to single-handedly save Abaran, stop the coven, and seal the gate. Even though she was much more powerful after the book bound itself to her, it still felt a little too easy to wrap the book up the way the author did. I loved that Sybil had a personality outside of being a receptacle for semen and an object for sexual gratification. She really struggled with the consequences of giving herself fully over to these men, what it meant to contain demon magic, and so on.

Further, the humor was absolutely a stitch!
