The first printing of 1, sold out in two months encouraging a second printing. At the time of the interview over 2, hardcopy books had been sold as well as ebooks.

Todd affirmed that it proves that when you have a desire and believe in yourself, it is possible to achieve your goal despite rejections and challenges. The initial response of having his book in print was like walking on air, recalls Todd indicating the highlight has been a personal letter from hockey legend Don Cherry. Todd's wife Dawn, of nine years, has been supportive of Todd's writing and desired urgency to complete the book.

Todd's immediate family has been supportive and encouraging in permitting Todd to share the tidbits of his personal life.

The family support of course reaches out to Duck Lake to include his grandmother Therese Laroque. Todd currently resides in Martensville with Dawn and their two-year-old son Jude.

Todd continues to teach adult computer classes in Saskatoon and feeds his desire to write on his days off. He is fortunate to have the opportunity to network and interact amongst his peers and fans at a variety of venues throughout the year. Todd Devonshire is the author of Rink Burger.

Raised in Saskatchewan by a Bruins-loving dad and a Canadiens-loving mom, Todd hit the ice himself at a young age. The book reveals the extent to which hockey is truly an indelible part of the Canadian identity, a bond rarely seen to the south except in almost-Canada hotbeds like Minnesota and North Dakota.

Highly recommended to those for whom hockey is more than a passing fancy or weeknight distraction.
