Feel Like Makin Love (The Rock and Roll Trilogy Book 3)

I absolutley loved this trilogy. Some people may not get it but I adored every character in it. I think the book holds an important message that as long as we have hope there is good. I felt so much joy, strength and courage when reading this. I was so happy with the roads they had traveled. I have loved this whole series and this was the perfect ending! This series wasn't your typical "girl meets rock star This set takes you through some of that with Beth and Andy, but the true story to me was watching Andy evolve into the man he was meant to be.

I don't have enough words to express how it felt to almost see how Carlee changed his life and to witness her grow up into a beauti Absolutely Awesome!! I don't have enough words to express how it felt to almost see how Carlee changed his life and to witness her grow up into a beautiful and caring woman! I can't recommend these books strongly enough! Barbara you left me speechless, you're an amazing writer. I need to say it, I'm In love with Andy, it will take some time to let go of him Thank you for writing this story, it is one I will treasure forever. I cried, smiled, felt the emotions through the characters. One of the best!!!!!!!! Apr 11, Connie rated it it was amazing Shelves: This trilogy was an amazing, heart-tugging journey of love!

It was awesome to see Andy, now 68 years old, and how his rocker life-style affected 3 generations of the people he and Beth loved. It was extremely heartbreaking to realize that Matthew and Carlee's strong and loving relationship constantly reminded Andy what he could have had with Beth if he had not been so selfish. After all they went through with Beth's battle, just to see another family member face her most difficult and Loved it!

After all they went through with Beth's battle, just to see another family member face her most difficult and similar battle, was unbelievable. What an awesome ride! Nov 11, BethyMac rated it it was amazing Shelves: BUt most of all 'Wow" what an amazing final book to "WOW always confuses me," he said finally, and laughed.

BUt most of all 'Wow" what an amazing final book to such an amazing story and trilogy, outstanding job to the author bringing so many story lines all together and intertwining them to truly touch me and make me feel so many emotions, the very same emotions the characters were feeling in the story, such amazing writing right there " I think about what life brings, and gives, then takes away. But how she handles it and the story of Kyliejo, a young girl she meets, her Rad Buddy truly touched me and of course made me cry or fight back tears at many moments.

But Carlee truly proved how truly a 'special person" she was letting her brightness shine through. When I started reading this trilogy, I thought it was Bethy's story but it was his story and the three great ladies he was fortunate to have loved and be loved by. Let you warm you. Each of you is a piece of my quilt of life. Each of you put there for a different reason.

Maybe your block of time was a small one, maybe you were the center block of color in a particular pattern in the quilt of my life, but each of you are an integral piece. Some blocks in that quilt are the cornerstones, maybe the whole quilt. Some blocks were the strength I needed at a certain time. Some blocks are the compassion i needed at an especially difficult time. But each block represents love. My quilt would not be complete without your part in the pattern.

I want to leave pieces of my quilt for each of you. It made me stop to think and take a look at my own life.

You MUST read the first two books before you jump into this one. This was an amazing ending to such a beautiful series. This is a series that never felt like a book, these were my friends and this was just their story. Throughout this whole series Barbara makes you think and feel for these characters.

While she brings you to your knees with tears she also has this ability to make you smile, make your heart swell and just want to be more like them.

You develop a bond to them as strong as theirs is to each other. This series gives a true meaning to what family is, what it means. We all have come to love the person Carlee is. She has become this strong, incredible, loving, thoughtful character and in this book we watch how she proves just how true that is.

As always we watch Andy, along with her husband, stay always by her side. Andy and Carlee share this bond that some biological dads never get with their daughter. Jun 30, Judy Franks rated it it was amazing. Book 3 was not what I expected, but certain parts were so thoughtful and important that I had to acknowledge this book with a rare 5 stars. Why did I struggle with the rating? Spoiler At first, I was very uncomfortable that the author introduced yet two more illnesses to deal with in book three. I felt as though we had been through enough with Beth and I didn't want to go through it again with Carlee and KylieJo. Then, I read about the author and her volunteerism and work with those with Cance Book 3 was not what I expected, but certain parts were so thoughtful and important that I had to acknowledge this book with a rare 5 stars.

Then, I read about the author and her volunteerism and work with those with Cancer and especially the little girl's story that came to her and I understood that she is paying tribute to those who have to battle this disease and that their struggles are too much a part of her life for her to not weave it into her storytelling.

What was so beautiful about this book: I needed to return to Bethy's story and in this book, the author gives us two opportunities through first Geni's eyes and then the movie production. I needed the balance to shift back to the original love story and the author thoughtfully gives it to us. I loved that Geni didn't quite recognize the man Andy in the story and that Andy had truly grown so much through his loss.

I liked that Geni struggles with the relationship. Bethy wasn't insecure at all: Also, Andy fights this time and once again shows us how he's grown through the lessons of his love with Bethy. I felt that the author delicately managed loving again without diminishing the love of Andy's life. I was fearful that Bethy would get lost and there are lines in the book that reassure us that Moving On doesn't mean moving on "without".

Andy and Carlee share when they feel Beth is near and I needed Andy to say that he hopes she stays with them. I wasn't ready or willing to let his new relationship overshadow the love of his life. I have to admit that I was gutted when Andy gave the Mizpah charms to Carlee. It felt wrong to me and launched a long conversation with my husband about picking up the pieces after one of us goes we've been married 27 years.

The fact that an author evoked such important feelings worth discussing should be noted. I like where Andy ended up. I won't say more so as not to spoil the review for others.

Once I was assured that Bethy was solidified in time and place I could be happy. He was a wonderful Papa, a soulful musician and a man who gave fully in his later years. I agree that the story shouldn't carry forward. But, there is a lot about Andy that we the reader do not know when he leaves Beth during the course of their time s apart. I would definitely read more about him and his transformation from who he was to who he became. Congratulations to the author on such a beautiful love story, a character that I truly loved in Andy, and the beauty and gift of family.

A movie should be made on story. Sep 16, Barb rated it really liked it. The timing of this release was perfect! This last installment has a very different vibe. We look closer at Matthew and Carlee's relationship. We see Andy come to terms with so much from his past.

My one small issue was the transition between chapters in the beginning, it sometimes felt very abrupt and rushed. You do see the evolution of Barbara's writing throughout the series as well as her ability to incorporate feedback from previous reviews. Kyliejo beautiful name for a beautiful girl. The part with the mizpah charms made me say This brought out the weeping baby in me I gave it 4 stars because it wasn't as good as the first book but it is better than the second book with an AMAZING wrap up to this story View all 8 comments.

I would highly recommend this trilogy to anyone looking for a true to life, all around good, love story mixed with a little rock-n-roll! I loved the first two books and as much as I wanted to read this one I knew it was the final installment in the trilogy so I savored it!

I have been attached to Andy and his story since Rock and Roll Never forgets book 1. He and Bethy had quite a story! Then in book 2 When I Look to the Sky, Carlee and Matthew's story was sweet and beautiful; what an amazing young lady! In this book Andy and Carlee's stories continue and Carlee's strength, love for life and the small things just amazes me.

What a beautiful "woman" she grew up to become. Yes, I know this is a book and they are just characters in a story but to me they have become much more than that.. Their stories have reminded me of how beautiful and precious love and life are. Feb 17, T. The final book in this series touched my heart as much as the first two novels did.

The characters that I fell in love with and watched go through different trials while in tears finally get the peace they deserve. Carlee is such a strong character when faced with difficulties. I found myself routing for her to come out on top simply because of the out look she took on life. Kylee-Jo took my heart and had me shedding a many of tears for her plight. This book is about healing and learning to deal The final book in this series touched my heart as much as the first two novels did.

This book is about healing and learning to deal with what life throws your way. Your attitude and personality might not change the outcome of a situation but it might be what helps someone going through similar circumstances feel better about life. Andy finally learns to let go of Beth and learn to live with his love for her while also being open to new possibilities. This series has allowed the readers to grow and mature with the characters and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

Mar 02, Keisha rated it it was amazing Shelves: It's been a long time since I've shed a few tears about a book and I must say this touching story had moments where they came out. My heart was still so heavy for Beth not being around for Carlee's journey in life through it all, but that's the sad way life goes sometimes. Thankfully she had Andy and he turned out such an amazing man. There were a lot of other great people along the way but it all started with Andy and his love and devotion to his 'sweet girl'. The reference to the clos Amazing! The reference to the closing of Beth's movie and the last paragraph about Bethy walking alone on the beach with the footprints before the movie fading out makes me shed tears just writing it here.

Beautiful ending and closure for all and I'll miss them. Aug 27, Cathy rated it it was amazing. I was hooked after the first page. All pages are intact, and the cover is intact.
