No big issues apart from World War Two but just ordinary Dundee families trying to get on with life in the Thirties.

Again it makes a difference if you know your way around Dundee. I find it difficult to believe that the well-off Pringle family from the Perth Road can get on so well with the 'Tipperary' Ryans - the social divide would have just been too great! Jul 18, Pauline Brown rated it it was amazing.

As I cannot put down this author's books! April 28, - Published on Amazon. A fascinating glimpse into tennament life in pre war Scotland. I warmed to the characters and use of colloquial language but found the style of writing somewhat ponderous and amateurish. The trilogy would have benefitted from editing to help the story flow better.
