Soul Kiss - Forbidden Love: Erotic Short Story for Women

Highly Recommended Risqué, Taboo and Forbidden Love Stories

So The prologue of this book is the end of the last book , where Haven and Jude get caught by her brothers. Jude was a coward and walked away from Haven and never fought for her.

Forbidden Love (Needle's Kiss, #3) by Lola Stark

For Some reason he thought that getting in a relationship with her would destroy his relationship with her brothers and her family who he really loves. That was just BS! Because he told them how much he loved her ,he should've also said that he won't give her up , no one would've rejected him , they'd give him some "big brother warnings" and that's it.

But he didn't even try , so when Dylan came into the picture I wanted Haven to go out with him to force Jude to see what he's missing by not fighting for her. I'll tag the next part because I can't rant without spoiling. I swear I would've forgotten he was supposedly "the hero" here. In the next few pages she has sex with Dylan and goes down on him with details. The thing is you cannot even hate Dylan , he was a really good guy , and when we discovered he was sick.

I immediately knew how this would end but I was praying it won't go that way.. I actually choked up a few times but that's because I always feel like crying when I read about the death of any character and this one was sad Long story short , Dylan was really sick and wasn't getting treatment. Haven lost Dylan , and at that last couple of pages accepted Jude's love. The thing is , if Dylan was still alive , Jude wasn't her choice. So really, the author made him her consolation prize. How am I as a reader suppose to believe that she still loved Jude?!

Your heart matches mine. I've never felt like this. She continues about how with Jude it was passion only ,no romance. Dylan was sheathed to the hilt only to pull out to the tip and press back in again, it was bliss. Pure paradise on earth. It felt as if his soul touched mine, entwining us in more than just body. My very core trembled with an emotion I couldn't place. It was exactly like flying and I never wanted to land. I would gladly breathe Dylan all night long. Forever if I could. Dylan wrapped me tighter in his embrace. It was never going to work long term. After all, Dylan and Haven's relationship spanned the whole book.

I was looking at the page number and there was like 5 pages left till the epilogue and it was still Dylan and Haven's story. And despite losing him, I was deeply loved by him. And although Jude was the one who walked away , I felt really bad for him having to deal with the woman he loves grieving for another man. He really broke my heart. Yeah , she's your little sister and everything but he's supposed to be your best friend , and so when you learn that he loves her , you give your blessings and not be ok with him walking away from her and hurting them both.

They eventually woke up but it was too little too late. Ok so enough of the rant. I think my feelings are clear enough. This is the story of a girl who was heartbroken because of a man so she moves on to another man whom she really loves , and when she gets her heart broken again , she goes back to her first love and so she realizes she loved both men at the same time , yeah ,, not really romantic in my book. You gave him back to me. And like I said maybe if it was all more clear at the beginning that I would've given it more stars.

A relationship kept secret is blown sky high and poor Haven finds herself left behind as Jude chooses everything but her.

The one that took his two boys in like they were blood. He had to pick. The woman he loved or the family that loved him and his boys. I think given the history of Jude and Haven, this storyline worked perfectly. A relationship that started because of secrets, stayed a secret It needed this added aspect to bring it into the light and for both characters to be in the right place.

He experiences necessary pain. And Damon if I didn't want him to. He needed a swift kick in the balls and he got it. Knowing what is important in life is a gift. Since you have read Scarlett's and Teeny's stories I told you to do that first I feel the need to warn you a bit. This book is not what you think it is. But this book shocked me. It was so different, but yet familiar. I am sad to see the series end, but excited for whatever comes next for this author. For the full review bad words and all go to http: Haven and Jude's story!! That is how this book was for me. I felt embedded in these characters' lives, I wanted to relish in their pain, joy, love, hope and sorrow. Lola Stark did that for me with this book. She pushed the envelope with showing the other sides of a relationship.

Sure, we all love the sassy, snarky comebacks, the funny Review to come Sure, we all love the sassy, snarky comebacks, the funny inner monologue but to be able to pull the heart strings of a reader and really make them FEEL I'm not saying that I'm not an emotional reader, because I absolutely am, but I usually get one main reaction from a book. Either it's something that made me laugh, made me think, made me swoon, or seriously made me cry Haven and Jude go through hell and back, both separate and together. I found myself falling in love with Jude and his vulnerability, the way tried to please everyone when he was in fact, completely miserable.

And Haven, this woman found herself.

Coming from a dark past, a scared and rejected present, as well as an unknown future, she owned it. Sixteen stories of forbidden love. Don't wait for the snow to melt before you uncover these stories of love, loss, and self-discovery. All the stories in this volume are excellent, well-written, and in some cases, deeply thought provoking. At no time did I feel compelled to skip forward. Several stories, however, stood out above the others, in my opinion. The first that struck a chord in me was "Red Snow," by Debra Goelz.

This is a true fairy tale, harsh, violent, magical, and mysterious. Children are disappearing in the forest, for reasons both frightening and sinister. I wanted to know more about Daphne, and why she was tied to the forest as she was. Goelz presents the situation, doling out information in just the right bits so that when the final denouement comes, it is both in keeping with the tone of the tale and satisfying.

The second story that resonated and left me thinking was "Faun," by Gavin Hetherington. Freddie is at odds with them over something that fundamental to him but which deeply offends his father and has been ostracized. After a quarrel at dinner, he runs away into a blizzard, finding his way to a nearby village. What he finds in the village is both moving and heartwarming. The third story that I want to talk about is "Wings," by one of my favorite authors, Shaun Allan.

The fact that his work was featured in this anthology was why I purchased it in the first place. Wings is a journey into despair and the need to be loved. But her own emotional pain is too much, and she begins to find satisfaction in bringing misery to the world. Shaun Allan has a knack for getting deep into the dark corners of the human psyche, which is why this tale resonates with me and why I seek out his work.

What begins as a quest for personal revenge soon takes a form Megan is completely unprepared for, threatening the world she knows, and deep inside still loves. I enjoyed this anthology from start to finish and highly recommend it. Wings by Shaun Allan is desolate, beautiful, and achingly haunting. Allan manages to bring a new idea to the table when most are thinking romance or survivalist stories that come with the seclusion of a cabin in the woods anthology. While the theme for this anthology is forbidden love, Shaun manages to twist this concept by adding a supernatural element and a dilemma for a character that is positively wrought with bad decisions when it comes to love.

As always, Allan's way with words creeps up on Wings by Shaun Allan is desolate, beautiful, and achingly haunting. As always, Allan's way with words creeps up on you and gets under your skin. The destination of the story almost becomes a background to the way he puts pen to paper.

The Lover L'Amant Full Movie 1992

Seriously, I could read his descriptives for ever. So, if you are looking for something a little different, as always, I am suggesting to check out Shaun Allan's work. However, I also implore readers to dive right back in after reading his work and check out some of the other stories in the Snow Anthology. Interesting anthology of 16 short stories.

A great book to curl up with a winter's day. I liked Sober because it had quality writing, a depth to the story and strong characters. Tobacco and Pine was intriguing - I just wanted more. There were a couple of stories that didn't appeal or flow quite to well. Overall it was great value. Apr 18, Maria Teresa rated it it was amazing.

I love this collection of stories. Different genres, different settings. Success to all the writers! Apr 12, Zoila Juarez rated it it was amazing. Snowed In by Kelly Anne Blount It's a breathtaking love story with a thrilling plot that messed up with my head and feelings, not being sure of whom to trust.

Claudia is a young writer with a sad story who went back to her family's cabin trying to get rid of her writer's block. She met handsome and mysterious Colton and immediately began a friendship that led them into a romantic affair. Not all was hearts and flowers, Colton's terrible past will get in the way and it will keep you on your toes.

Magnificent work of the writer keeping the reader hooked on the story! I totally recommend it and give it 5 stars! It's a gripping story that you won't be able to put down. Apr 02, Suze Robinson rated it really liked it. With this collection you have sixteen different novellas and short stories each one with it's own twist on forbidden romance in a snowy setting. I recommend this collection to anyone who loves a unique telling of different love stories. It's nice to dive into a quick novella and with this amazing lineup of authors-- you won't be disappointed.

May 09, Dilyana rated it it was amazing. It's the first time I'm reviewing an anthology so I wasn't sure how to approach this review. I was going to share with you what I think of SNOW as a whole, and then tell you half a dozen sentences about each individual story, but with sixteen stories plus what I think of the anthology, this review would've turned out quite long and you know I try to keep them short and to the point.

I ca It's the first time I'm reviewing an anthology so I wasn't sure how to approach this review. I can understand why so many of these authors are part of the Wattpad Stars program and why they have such a big following. While I read, I encountered a lot of diverse writing styles, setting in which the stories took place who knew you could do so many things with a cabin? At times I thought "Well, this piece is good for when you want something casual and interesting, but not too engaging" and at times I was so captivated that I kept reading even though I should've been sleeping yes, I know it's an unhealthy habit of mine to go into bed with a good book and that I should really stop that ; at times I knew where a story was heading, at times I had no clue, and at times it turned out I thought I knew, but nope, the author took the story in a completely different direction.

This presented a little bit of a challenge for me when it come to writing this review. If this was a collection of stories of just one author, I'd probably say pretty much the same about each piece and tell you which I liked most and least. With such diversity in SNOW it's difficult to do that.

If you want slow pace, you'll find it; if you want fast pace, you'll find it. If you don't want to risk getting your feelings hurt by reading a story that you know won't have a happy ending: There are stories that lean more towards Contemporary Romance, there are others that, romantic elements and all, are more about suspense, or the development of the main character as an individual and not just a partner in a relationship. There's a story for pretty much any mood you could be looking for. I think the best way to describe starting to read a story from the SNOW anthology would be to compare it to eating Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans - you take a leap of faith and you never know what you'd get.

The only difference is that none of these stories will leave a bad taste in your mouth. Secondly, with so many different writing styles, settings and characters, I'd say "Go for it! Apr 03, Tracy's Place rated it liked it. Rating is based on the first 8 books of the anthology only. I've read the first eight stories and haven't absolutely loved any of them, unfortunately. Only eight more to go! I have to say I'm thoroughly annoyed with the fact that every story so far has had a character named Claudia in it.

I don't have anything against that name but after a while it gets old. I'm not sure who thought this would be a good idea but it's just not working for me. May 09, Tahlie Purvis rated it it was amazing. Lust Is the Thorn.
