Lists with This Book. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. Jun 07, Ksatava rated it really liked it. I really liked this debut book for Nichole Parrish. It is a great introduction to the series' characters, with an imaginative premise, and a plausible plot line.

The author gives the reader a true sense of place with visual descriptions that appeal to the senses. The story line is laid out with enough twists to keep the reader invested without being overly complex and cryptic. Overall the characters are well rounded and believable. They also experience true growth both individually within themse I really liked this debut book for Nichole Parrish.

They also experience true growth both individually within themselves, and as a team. The rhythm and pacing of the story is also well done. There are several grammatical errors; such as the wrong word being used, but it is spelled correctly so it wasn't caught by Spell Check. Some aspects of the character's personalities and behaviors are inconsistent with the character, in particularly with regards to Melody.

Her devotion to her abusive fiance is not substantiated, so it is not relate-able to readers who have never been in an abusive relationship. Joey is a more comprehensive character and his continued lack of trust in others and unreasonable sullen-ness are just as irritating as when it happens in real life, with those who have been scarred by bitterness. The ending is a little abrupt, but then contains an epilogue to tie up what the supporting characters do afterward, however it does not hook you into reading the next installment and the reader is left wondering whether or not this is a series or a stand alone novel.

All of these comments though would have been caught with another edit. All-in-all great first book, and I look forward to reading more about Melody and Joey's adventures in other dimensions. No games were found matching the criteria specified.
