The Last Secrets (Spirit Hearts Series Book 2)

Destined Hearts

Complicated Hearts book two is the continuation to the story of Breslin, Landon, and Asher. This part of the story is NOT simple by any means. If I could compare it to something it would be math. There are problems that need to be solved. There's answers that you will sometimes get wrong, and honestly at times the relationships and teams feel confusing AF. You won't like it ALL the time. Sometimes you will be mad at the story. The thing is, like in math once you finally fit all the right pieces Complicated Hearts book two is the continuation to the story of Breslin, Landon, and Asher.

The thing is, like in math once you finally fit all the right pieces into an equation and you get the final result Well let me just say, as complicated as Complicated Hearts may be, it still manages to make you feel that feel good feeling. That being said this story is NOT traditional. It does not fit into a neat little box, but no matter it is a love story. If you love beautiful angsty love stories, then you need to one-click this duet, because Ashley Jade angsty love storied the EFF out of this one!

I enjoyed how they struggled and also how hard they fought to make their relationship work cause they truly did love and needed each other in their lives. Their chemistry and scenes together were hot as hell. I really liked Asher and Landon but I had my issues with B 3. I really liked Asher and Landon but I had my issues with Breslin.

I felt she was stuck too much in the past and she pitied herself when she should have embraced her strength and past instead. View all 7 comments. I lean down until my lips are ghosting over his ear. I'm fighting for the both of you. If after reading this half of the duet, you don't completely fall for all three, you need your head checked. No one, and I mean no one does beautifully broken characters like this Author and I read "I guess this situation just got even more complicated then.

No one, and I mean no one does beautifully broken characters like this Author and I read this as if my life depended on it. The relationship evolved into one of the hottest potential heartbreaks I have ever experienced These characters pulled out the stops and we saw so much more of who they were and I fell deep for each and every one.

I can't even explain to you how good of a book this was, I can only tell you that you need to read it. Breslin showed her fire, Asher showed his vulnerability, and much to my lady part's happiness, Landon got Alpha and burned up my kindle The other is the balm that heals me and puts me back together again. I became so completely invested in this triangle, that there was no possibility other than how it ended up. But I have to tell you that this Author is a master of Romantic imagery I want to be Breslin when I grow up My favorite thing about this book is the contented, sated feeling yet, breathless and exhausted that you get after reading a book of this caliber Going in my top reads of the year, no doubt.

I thank the Author both for writing and allowing me to review!! A beautifully written book full of angst When I read the first book. I actually liked her more than the two male characters in the book.

Again, another thing that normally doesn't happen for me. Complicated Hearts is a very fitting title because my feeling for this book were very complicated through out. Ashley Jade writes so beautifully, I was so su A beautifully written book full of angst When I read the first book. Ashley Jade writes so beautifully, I was so sucked in with her words and her story, but yet scared to see how it would end. I will not give anything away, but I will say I'm probably on my own little island over here by my lonesome, but I would have liked it to end differently for the characters, but that's a good thing I am not the author because I'd probably make people angry if I ended it the way I would have wanted lol.

Over all a good story, very good writing, and the characters all touched me in their own ways, but I am for sure Team Breslin. In my opinion she stole the show, like I said I really connected with her and I really just wanted to hug her and tell her she is enough. Sep 19, Di Covey rated it it was amazing Shelves: I'll try to express myself with more words, but I'm having a hard time rolling all my emotions into sentences. I finished this book yesterday and was at a loss for words.

I feel like this story, these characters embedded themselves into my heart. I loved every single word. Complicated is an understatement. Ashley Jade had the deck stacked, poker face on, she counted cards all the way to my dark soul. There's something to be said about a book that makes your stomach flip, your breaths uncontrollable, and your throat dry up.

I felt like I was swallowing glass. Every single word had me on edge, my heart was so full, yet I couldn't let out a breath until I had devoured every page. I wanted the book to end, but I never wanted it to. Don't tell anyone, but this book ripped me to shreds and filled my soul with a warming that I can't explain.

I couldn't read fast enough. It's was beautifully designed to make you want it all, there was no right choice in this situation. Something in my heart both cracks and mends with the realization. The realization that you can love two people at the same time. But you can only choose one to live for. If you love angst and triangles I highly recommend. This will go on my favoites list for ! And these characters will live on in my heart. This is book two so make sure you read book one first. Book one ended in a cliffhanger so I couldn't wait to jump into this story.

As I loved book one my expectations were pretty high for book two. I needn't have worried as Ashley Jade did not disappoint me. She gave me so much more. I sat down to read to read a few pages. I should have known from book one that it would be unputdownable.

I ended up reading this in one sitting. The twists and turns had me in a tizzy. I certainly didn't see them This is book two so make sure you read book one first. I certainly didn't see them coming. I'm not gonna say anything about the storyline. I love the characters and the storyline and don't want to ruin it for anyone. This is a brilliantly written, heart breaking and angsty story. Having said that if you like strange and unconventional then I highly recommend you read this duet.

This duet will stay with me for a long time. Aug 30, Shabby -BookBistroBlog rated it it was amazing. Desperate situations require Desperate Measures.

Pieces of You (Shattered Hearts, #3) by Cassia Leo

It's an emotional rollercoaster and you'll love every minute of it. I'll admit I was a disbeliever in this story when I first heard about it. But Ashley was bound and determined to win me over. It's not a genre that I enjoy reading, at all. Because of her determination, she hooked me with the first book. The characters where embedded in my heart. It blew my ever loving mind.

Then it ended it with a cliffhanger, and I could not wait to get my hands on the second part of Breslin, Asher, and my boy Landon's story. Then she started book two. And I had the pleasure of I'll admit I was a disbeliever in this story when I first heard about it. And I had the pleasure of being one of her beta readers. She would send me several chapters at a time. Sometimes, just a chapter. And I'm not gonna lie, I was like an addict waiting for my next fix. I almost had jitters just anticipating when I'd receive the next instalment. This time she didn't just blow my mind. She rocked my world and obliterated my heart.

Mad love for this author and her ability to bring so much emotion to her words, and make these characters part of my life. It's not your typical love story. And quite often, Breslin, Landon, and Asher hated each other. Fought with each other. But holy god, could they ever LOVE each other. I'm so blessed to have experienced this journey with these characters. And I'm a little sad that it's over. But one thing's for sure, this is hands down Ashley's best work to date, and I'm not saying that lightly because I've absolutely LOVED everything I've read from this author so far.

There are no words to describe how much I loved this book!! It is a perfect book that will certainly keep you in that grey area, making you re evaluate connections. Sometimes you just connect to a persons soul and it's not easy to let go, no matter how hard you try. I absolutely adored Breslin, she's such a contradiction. She was so fierce and strong but, at the same time so incredibly fragile and vulnerable.

She thought she was broken beyond repair, and your heart will shatter for her at certain There are no words to describe how much I loved this book!! She thought she was broken beyond repair, and your heart will shatter for her at certain points in this book but, she's a bad ass as resilient as a mofo!! Asher is just as damaged as Breslin but, so loyal. There's nothing he won't do for someone he loves, which is a very short list.

He is a fighter in every sense of the word. He's put in the lions den but is determined to win!! And Landon, holy fuck am I in love with Landon!! He is my favorite male character in any book I've read. He will gladly shatter his heart in tiny pieces and take the heartbreak then see someone he loves in misery. He is such a soothing force amongst Breslin and Asher, he literally is the calm to there storm. He makes the demons of the past go away. He's like human xanax lol.

This set is a beautifully written, messy, makes you want to pull your hair out clusterfuck type of book but, it's worth every second!! I voluntarily reviewed a advanced readers copy of this book OK that is a total understatement Sometimes it's hard to figure out exactly what makes a book great, but in this case it's easy I loved the journey this book took me on, I loved the ups and downs, the things I saw coming and the things I never expected actually..

I loved the struggles and the triumphs, the redemption and the forgiveness I loved all of it Landon, Asher and Breslin How rare is it to have a story with three main characters that are amazing, relatable, fully fleshed out with backstory and have strengths and flaws and character and heart? Just when I thought one of them was becoming my favorite I'm including Breslin in this.

This story is not all about the boys, she was every bit as important to me. He was the calm in the storm, the safe place to land, the voice of reason throughout the story, but my favorite part about Landon was went the cracks started to show and he stopped reining in his emotions. And then there was Asher I love a damaged, misunderstood, tragically heroic bad boy and Asher was the perfect example of that.

His pain was so palpable, so exposed. I just loved him passionately. And Breslin, the girl stuck in the middle, only sometimes she seemed more like the girl stuck on the outside, or the girl stuck in the past. I just got her. Her fears, her hang-ups, her emotions were so on point. And her evolution was a beautiful thing to watch. Ashley Jade did some thing I will say there was a lot going on in this book, and I'm not sure some of the subplots were completely necessary, but they didn't detract from story and they were handled intelligently and clearly.

Actually, they were surprisingly uncomplicated. At it's core, this book is a beautiful, poignant, unconventional love story about new loves and old flames and first times and second chances and what you're willing to do for your happily ever after. It's really quite spectacular and Sep 01, Louise Roach rated it it was amazing Shelves: If you have not read Book 1, stop right now, go back and read it before you go on any further from here! A story that is jam-packed with passion and emotion I felt happiness, anger, passion, emotional, sad I got cross and had a couple of "shout at my kindle" moments too!! Ashley Jade has such a way with words, she really squeezes every last drop of the feels out of you and often hits you where it hurts. There may well be bits in the story that will have you cringing, and moments that will have you cursing, but without a doubt you will enjoy this story!! I don't want to live in a world where everything is black and white Because the gray parts are brutal. The gray parts are dangerous.

The gray parts always hurt so fucking much. This characters in this story are superb. With so many conflicting emotions and feelings between them all, they're all unsure of their actions, right and wrong. The characters are flawed, broken, but beautiful! I fell for all three of them all over again, even though at times I wanted to shout at them for a couple of decisions they made!! A must read duet, even if it's outside of your comfort zone! I didn't like how Asher's "secret" from Breslin was omitted for so long. It played into unnecessary drama, that made me resent Breslin's character more than I should have. I love a good plot twist, and there was one I definitely didn't see coming, reveled by Kyle, towards the end.

All I can say is "daddy," was an effing sicko! I wish I enjoyed the dynamic of this story more, and that we were able to see a b 3. I wish I enjoyed the dynamic of this story more, and that we were able to see a bit more unity between two of the three main characters.

The ending didn't sit quite right with me. Maybe it's just the dynamic of this relationship in general, that just didn't feel cohesive enough for me at the stories end. And you know, since the new drama has to top the previous one it keeps getting more and more ridiculous.

Lyric crushed Wolf with her departure, and it hurt her soul to do so. These two have been through the ringer, and outside forces seem to always get in the way. Between an asshole ex, a douche canoe manager, and a lyric stealing mother, Lyric and Wolf had to navigate through rough waters to find their way back to each other. Both of us were suffering from past regrets and self-imposed rules that kept us safe from each other, from falling, from ending up right where we are now.

We knew we'd only leave disaster in our wake. With a fantastic love story and a touch of angst, you'll be on the edge of your seat wondering how the story will conclude. On a scale of 1 to 10 the steam factor was a 12 and the intimate scenes were written so well that I was physically squirming in the best way possible. To sum up this book It has been the best I've read all year and is now a new favorite! It has just the right amount of everything you could hope for in a book and K.

Allen, in my opinion, made perfection. After that shocking cliffhanger at the end of Dangerous Hearts I have been on the edge of my seat in anticipation for the conclusion. The moment this book hit my kindle I wanted to drop everything and immediately dive into it because I needed to see how Lyric and Wolf's story ends. Unfortunately, I had a few things to take care of before I could, but that only made me appreciated their story more.

I knew that these two needed their happily ever after and that is exactly what the beautifully talented author KK Allen has delivered. There were so many jaw dropping moments throughout this entire story and I do mean jaw dropping. Seriously every time I thought I had it all figured out something unexpected would happen.

The suspense was perfect and leaped right off the pages. These moments helped to bring Lyric and Wolf closer then ever and to form a bond that couldn't be broken. Once again I was on the edge of my seat and my heart beat even faster for these two! This was the perfect story and the ideal ending that gave readers everything they wanted! Wolf and Lyric captured me from chapter one in Dangerous Hearts and we were left at such a critical moment when Dangerous Hearts ended. Allen did a great service in picking up pretty much right where it left off and wasted no time letting us back into Wolf and Lyrics heads and hearts. There is a lot of reflecting on both their parts, how and why the fell for each other and reasoning through the fiery crash of circumstances that separated them.

Destined Hearts is very much a story about a young woman working through the childhood disappointments and hurts and finding forgiveness where is was due not that it's always earned nor given. But trying is was the only way she would ever move forward. She has to give up the pain that she holds in, and give over trust. I thought it was a beautiful story, how she expresses herself on what support she needs from her friends, her family and ultimately Wolf.

Wolf is amazing and I fell harder for him then I had before. His response to Lyric, what he see's in her and what he does with that, his response to her displays that elusive unconditional love that will heal Lyric. I felt my tummy tingling at their possibility, how they give each other reason to hope. What challenges them now comes pretty much from outside influences. There's a bit of a mystery that leads to some incredibly tense moments and made me so very anxious.

I found myself incorrectly and sometime correctly guessing where the story was going. More importantly just how the characters would react. I also found myself rather proud of both Lyric and Wolf. What I really love was seeing the growth as individuals and as a couple.

Wolf and Lyric are one of my favorite couples and I find K. Allen to be an exquisite storyteller.

I loved witnessing these two fight every obstacle that stood in their path only to make them stronger in the end. In this book Lyric's past comes back to bite her in the butt and threatens everything she has worked so hard for. Only this time she is not the young naive girl she once was and it's not just her that has something to lose. With Wolf by her side she is ready to make a stand and fight for what is rightfully hers.

Lyric was a lot more vulnerable in this book. It was great to see this side of her, I felt this made her more relatable and likable as a character. Wolf, who is probably one of my all time favorite heroes to date is still as his name implies, all alpha male. I absolutely love his character. I also loved the fact that we got more information on some previous characters from the first book and am hoping for some follow up books on other members of the band.
