The house was clean and well furnished with all necesities for cooking at home available. Its approximately one hour from Granada, the beach The host was superb. Antonio's villa was very spacious, clean and very secluded which was exactly what we were looking for, for our holiday.

The pool was a really good size, cleaned daily and was in a prime spot, within the Sierra Nevada mountains many a lazy day and evening was spent cooling off and admiring the scenery! The property is surrounded by olive, lemon, orange and avocado trees which further enhanced the beautiful scenery and tranquil setting.

We made use of the outside barbecue on most days and enjoyed cooking fresh meat, fish and vegetables, all locally sourced. The property is about an hour and a half's drive from Malaga airport, through beautiful scenery and mountainous terrain. Granada is about an hour away and the beach in Mortril was about 40 minutes away - we went to Calahonda where there was a fabulous fish and meat restaurant on the beach front. We also visited Los Cahorros in Monachil, which is an Indiana Jones style adventure hike over ravines, rope bridges, plateaus and dusty mountain paths.

The Los Bermejales man made Reservoir was also worth a visit, with its fantastic views, even though the water levels were low. Boating and swimming are also available during the peak seasons. All in all, we couldn't have wished for a better location or a better host. A beautifull house in the superb Alpujarra in southern spain. Close to everything you want to enjoy mountains, sea, tourist attractions, We had a great time at Casa Delia. The house is nice and clean. Only the kitchen tools could be better no dishwasher, no thing to open cans.

The environment is amazing. We also visited Alhambra in Granada. Lovely Villa with mountain view and starry skies at night. Pool was fantastic and well maintained, we grilled out every day and had all our meals on the lovely little terrace. Prefect for our little family of 3 and a set of grandparents.

Antonio and his family are excellent hosts. The hotel down the road has a good restaurant and a nice deck for lunch and dinner. Orgiva is a short 3 min drive or a 20 min walk. We didn't walk as we have a 7 y. We would definitely come back and can highly recommend the place. This is a fantastic place to spend your vacation. Beautiful house ad location, at an easy distance to visit andalousia. Antonio and his family were very nice and welcoming with a very efficient reception and service.

We felt like home and were very sad to leave. We arrived at the Hotel slightly later than planned but the receptionist contacted Mati who arrived quickly and showed us to our room. Mati was friendly but also well organised. Good clean basic accommodation. The only issue was the internet only worked downstairs in the reception. The cottage was perfectly situated and not far from the town, it is a bit of a trek by foot so I would recommend a car. The cottage is beautiful and very spacious. The pool was a great addition. Sybille is an excellent host and was very helpful.

Overall I would thoroughly recommend the cottage. We had a great vacation at Sybilles Cortijo. The place was just as described and we had good communication all the way. The Alpujarras are really beautiful and the Cortijo was a peaceful place to stay. The road to the house is not for walking in my opinion too narrow, busy and scary and it takes about 15 minutes by car to the city center because of the bad road. Also you need to love animals to stay there: All in all, we had a good time and we would love to come back!

The views from Sybille's house are beautiful. The terrace at the back of the house is a fabulous way to spend an evening, looking out over the mountains, eating. The pool too is really great. Its kept really clean and there is a small decking area to sunbathe, which although in need of a bit of tlc, is nice.

Overall though we were very disappointment with this property and host. The house was not very clean. There was a lot of dog hair in the living areas and the kitchen surfaces and drawers were sticky and dirty. The shower had the previous guests' hair blocking the plug; we had to clean out the dishwasher filter before being able to use it; there were a lot of cobwebs and layers of dust. There was a general feeling that the property needed a good scrub. The house and gardens were not secure enough for us. It is very open and anyone could walk onto the property.

This meant that I never felt safe leaving the children to play or to leave the doors open while we were out the back on the terrace or, at night, leaving the windows open even with netting on the windows with children sleeping in the house. We did not realise that Sybille actually lives beneath the property too so we always felt that we didn't have that sense of privacy and seclusion which is what we were looking for.

The house and pool are on different levels and you cannot see the pool from the house.

This wasn't ideal for us because of the ages our children were. There is also no actual garden around the pool. Piles of abandoned furniture and piles of tree cuttings, too sharp to leave our young children near. The property has beautiful trees but the ground is not suitable for children to run around or play.

Plus there are a lot of cactus on the stairs to and from the front door.

Not ideal with children. The area is quite noisy with barking dogs at night, which, combined with the lack of feeling of privacy, seclusion and safety, we did not find our stay relaxing. The walk into Orgiva was attempted by us 3 times but each time we were turned away by the contractors rebuilding the road, so I would recommend coming by car as it would be a horrid long walk on a busy road if you could not walk through the back road.

This was not a great house for us to stay in and I did not feel relaxed, secluded or secure. We booked Sybille's home for a 2 week family holiday. We had one of the best holidays of our lives! The house itself has such a beautiful quiet location with amazing views and pretty gardens that are maintained by the friendly housekeeper and gardener. We all felt instantly at home, the interiors are much like our own, the beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. When we arrived we needed the extra room, this was arranged for us without any hassle, this made the 2 teenagers exceptionally happy as they had their own private space.

We had the pleasure of meeting our host on the last day, she is a very warm and kind person.

There is a housekeeper on call should you have any questions whilst you are there. We can't wait to revisit, the area is stunning and the only criticism is that it was too hot for some of the day! Orgiva is such a lovely and idyllic town, I recommend this to anyone looking for a rural retreat- but you can walk just minutes to get to the center of town where there are lovely restaurants and windy hilly streets. All in all I highly recommend Sybille's house for anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic vacation in Spain.

We were a group of 5 friends who wanted to travel Andalusia but also wanted a quiet place to reside with spectacular views. Sybilles villa was perfect for that! The surrounding areas were stunning with mountainous views, streams and lakes. The town we were in, Orgiva. It was quiet and peaceful. The supermarket was close by in car and they had many little cafes and bars. We drove to Granada 50 minutes and also to many other cities including Cordoba, Gibraltar and Seville. Overall the Villa was perfect and cosy. The pool was of a decent size and the facilities were great.

A nice selection of rooms with incredible views. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. The living room was spacious and comfortable. I would recommend this villa to any group of friends looking for a quiet peaceful getaway but also for families as it is very private and secluded.

Sybille was a great host, her father and her were very welcoming and accommodating and made sure we had everything that we needed for a smooth and stress free stay at the villa. A lovely property just outside Orgiva in a great location with wonderful views. Be prepared for a tight reverse up the drive when you arrive, but it is doable and take your time when coming out of the drive. It has a very pretty garden with many different flowers and fruit trees.

Inside is very nice and we felt very comfortable on our holiday. Lovely simple house, compact. Being up in the hills above Orgiva meant that on the hot summer nights, we did get a bit of a breeze. We didn't meet Aingeal, but were in regular Hidden by Airbnb contact. Aingeal gave us lots of ideas about where to travel to and what to see, many of which we did.

Slightly awkward access to the house, as sharp angle off a lane off a main road. Definitely need a car.

Lovely garden with the most amazing variety of fruit trees. The pool was amazing and the house well equipped and comfortable. Fantastic views of mountains and forests from the lovely terraces. We also rented the upstairs flat as we had 3 generations staying so it was good to have so much space for us all. The upstairs balcony also has brilliant panoramic views. The gardens are also lovely with vines, fruit trees, olive trees, and beautiful flowers.

Aingael was the perfect host. We had to reply to texts immediately with really good advice on restaurants and local places to visit and see. Aingael also checked in regularly by text to ensure everything was ok with the house and our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed, which we did.

We had no problems at all with the house or anything else but felt reassured that if we did, Aingael would be there to help. Merci pour tout Aingeal!!! What can we say about our wonderful experience with Joelle and Rosa. They were two of the most wonderful hostesses at a bed and breakfast that we had ever met. We had great fun and lively conversations with them, and hope they will come visit us in the U. We won't hesitate to recommend their place and the surrounding Alpujarra mountain villages to everyone. Joelle is the perfect host, so welcoming and kind! Our room was big and airy with a very Spanish feel. Breakfast was delicious including home-cooked cake. Joelle went out of her way to provide local information including a map and tips for visiting local Andalucian villages including Pampaneira and Bupion which are a must visit. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Places to stay near Finca la Estrella. Nice simple accommodation in central Orgiva. I really liked the lift! I enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended Jean T Bright apartment with small kitchen and en suite bathroom on the terrace of the main house. Stupendous view of the mountains from the apartment and use of the 16 meter Salt swimming pool. We welcome people form all backgrounds. The apartment is accessed up a flight of external stairs, this is your own private access, it has a queen sized bed with a really comfortable latex mattress.

The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can be completely self catering, there is an on terrace lounger and table and chairs, so you can eat indoors or outdoors. We are in the campo, not in the town, which is twenty minutes walk away. The Tropical Studio is a very cozy apartment in the lower floor of a large, Andalusian country house surrounded by 3, square meters of biologically certified land with many oranges, olive, and other southern fruit trees, a large garden with playground, a child-safe pool, and green lawns in the middle of nature.

The studio is recently renovated and is characterized by its refined Andalucian style, its traditional tile floor and bright spaces. The windows give great views of the garden and the private terrace. The bathroom as well as the kitchen area are totally new and fully equipped.

Everything is tastefully decorated and the studio contains all you could need sharp kitchen knives, large red wine glasses, quality mattresses, bed linens and towels to guarantee a relaxing holiday. The shared swimming pool 9x4m plus a shallow part and the lawn area surrounding it are fenced, completely childproof. The lush garden is very child-friendly with a water slide, a playground, a small soccer pitch with a goal and a giant tire swing. The property is only 1km away from town minutes walking distance and still provides with all the quietness and tranquillity of pure nature to make your holiday as pleasant and relaxing as possible.

The property is located in the heart of the Alpujarras, in the green and lush south slopes of the Sierra Nevada with its breathtaking landscapes and mild and sunny micro climate all year round, away from the busy touristic spots. The studio is only 25 min driving distance to the coast, 40min to Granada one of the most beautiful and lively historic and cultural cities in the world and little over one hour to the Sierra Nevada ski resorts.
