Could have done so much with the Rose-Lissa connection, bond thing. I really do hate to see the potential being so wasted. I had higher expectations, because the actual books were good.

La da da da, something something I finished it anyway. I don't know if it is telling, but I don't feel like writing a whole, proper review. Just know it was crap. I didn't like Lissa a lot but Rose and Dimitri look both really, really hot! Of course it's not as detailed as the book itself but I still think they did a pretty good job at summarizing everything.

It's lovely to look at, very interesting to read and definitely a great addition to my Vampire Academy collection. I'm really looking forward to starting Frostbite. The TWD graphic novels are a lot more expensive. Sep 16, Stacia the club rated it really liked it Shelves: Obviously this is a condensed version of the full-length novel. I enjoyed it for what it was, and was digging on most of characters in picture form, especially Rose and Dimitri because I felt like they were drawn very close to the author's description.

Lissa, Mason and Mia all fell short by a mile, but who cares when they got Rose and Dimitri right? Even though I had fun breezing through this fast read, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who hasn't read the book first. Most of the main book points Obviously this is a condensed version of the full-length novel.

Most of the main book points and favorite lines were included including one very hot lust charm scene If I hadn't already known what was going on, I might have become easily confused at how one scene ran into another, often without much to tie them together. I'd give this a big thumbs up for fans of the series who can't get enough.

I'll be purchasing the second book when it's available, curious for a glimpse of Adrian. Are you a fan of Richelle Mead? The one where Dimka gives to Roza Victor's necklace and then a lip gloss he bought for her because the one she had was running empty.

I love that scene! I made realise how sweet Dimka can be and how much he actually cares for her. The other thing I did not liked is they way the characters looked and especi I love VA. The other thing I did not liked is they way the characters looked and especially Dimitri. Maybe it was because I had a different image in my mind or because they can not be drawed perfectly.

The story prety much stays the same as I already and maybe you knew. I still though turned every page eargerly waiting what was going to happen next. Only the most important events were transfered in this book and I was happy reliving it. It took me less than 1 to 2 hours to finish it and that made me think that the graphic novel is the best way someone can find to see what's going on with the VA books if he wants to see the movie but not read the books.

Goodreads Summary After two years on the run, best friends Rose and Lissa are caught and returned to St. The entire first Vampire Academy novel has been adapted for book one by Leigh Dragoon and overseen by Richelle Mead, while the beautiful art of acclaimed British illustrator Em Goodreads Summary After two years on the run, best friends Rose and Lissa are caught and returned to St. My Thoughts So this graphic is pretty much perfect. Pretty much, meaning that I'd change the pace to something much slower since the story is pretty quick.

Then again it is a graphic and can't be as long as the novel itself. The characters seemed very true to themselves and were fabulously drawn. That is except Lissa. I hate how pale she seemed! So what if she's a vampire?! She's supposed to be super-model glamorous and Lissa just wasn't and neither was Christian. They were alright and a far cry from the hotness described in the books, I was kind of disappointed. Also Rose's eyes were tiny! I loved how her figure was drawn - perfect to my imagination - but her eyes were miniscule peas.

How could the fabulous artists of this ultra-cool graphic capture sumptuous curves and fail at eyes?? Man, it still puzzles me. Ladies, if any of you are even mildly as creepy as me when it comes to their fictional crushes and visualizing them and if Dimitri Belikov happens to be near the top of that list?

This book is so for you. Wow, he was beautiful Oh, there it is! Haha, so while every book has its weaknesses, it also has its own major plus points.

The important thing, is that the positives by far outweigh the negatives. Luckily, this is very much the case! Beware of that steamy half-naked scene, but otherwise this one isn't a V. Jul 30, Leena rated it really liked it. So this was basically an adaptation of the vampire academy series and it was beautifully done.
