I Shall Not Die But, LIVE

Psalms 118:17 New Century Version (NCV)

I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,.

Psalm 118:17

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.

Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. The dead do not praise the Lord , nor do any who go down into silence. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.

For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms.

If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God ; so turn, and live.

Psalms 118:17 NKJV

He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going. For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten.

It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting, for this is the end of all mankind, and the living will lay it to heart. The wicked is overthrown through his evildoing, but the righteous finds refuge in his death. If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my service I would wait, till my renewal should come. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.

American Standard Version

I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. No one comes to the Father except through me.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. For they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. Shall I ransom them from the power of Sheol? Shall I redeem them from Death? O Death, where are your plagues? O Sheol, where is your sting?

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. But if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, that person shall die in his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul. If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.
