Lyssa's best friend Suzette is a little firecracker at times. She is with her fiancee Pete. Pete doesn't want her around Lyssa whole everything is going on. Seeing how everything came together in the end was a bit shocking. I was thinking that it was someone else and boom, it hits you. You have no clue why and to read why he was stalking, it just hits you. Lyssa Cutler is a divorced therapist specializing in sexual dysfunction, most of her patients are men.

Jan 01, Sheena Roberts rated it really liked it. Jul 03, B rated it it was amazing. Loved Colt and Lyssa's story. Oct 05, Laney Smith rated it really liked it. I was given a copy of this work in exchange for an honest review. Finn requested a story review only. This story starts out in the middle of a frightening situation. The main character, Lyssa, and her friend, Suzette, are pleading with law enforcement for assistance with someone that has been stalking Lyssa. Suzette is a friend that, when she is introduced, is vocal and boisterous.

She wants to insure that the police are looking after her friend. After feeling like they have hit a brick wall I was given a copy of this work in exchange for an honest review. After feeling like they have hit a brick wall with the traditional route, an officer steps outside of his duties and sends the women to speak with "Trapper.

However, he has taken on the arduous task of keeping watch over Lyssa. As parts of the story start to unfold, new stories are constructed. The author did an amazing job of telling the story. She was very thorough with details and descriptions. There were several points where I could visualize the setting and it made this fun story even more entertaining.

I also appreciate the author's writing style and her ability to draw the reader in. The following may contain spoilers. Scarlett Finn does an awesome job of pulling the reader into a world that is typically frowned upon. With Lyssa's position in terms of livelihood she does something that you wouldn't expect someone in her position to do. And, Lyssa's reason for doing this so willingly is an almost genius tie-in to the main story. But, the fact that this "second job" helps build so much of the rest of the story is impressive.

The ground work is laid to plant seeds and build suspicion for who the "bad guy" would be by the end of the story. Unfortunately, I had that figured out pretty quickly, though I expected a twist that would surprise me. Challenge yourself and see if you can figure out "who-dun-it" I was curious to see how Ms.

Finn would tie this story up. I was not disappointed. This author is clever! When the curtain draws to a close, the endng is well written and the novel picks up a little speed, adding a lot of intensity to an already intense situation. I give the author kudos, however. The "hero" that saves the day wasn't what I expected. So, that was an interesting surprise. The stalkers motive was also unexpected. I like it when an author can pull one over on me. Scarlett Finn does just that. This is very impressive, considering I'm not easy to surprise. Overall, I feel the characters are interesting.

The story lines are intriguing and, while some parts seemed too predictable to be true, there are a few "gotchas" that you won't see coming. Finn did a great job with all aspects of this story. It is easy to read. The story is interesting. I am thankful that I was afforded the opportunity to review this work. I enjoyed this piece. Typically, I can read a book in a day. This one is long, so you get lots of bang for your buck. If I HAD to offer a negative about this book, I would say that there are a couple of redundancies and a character is named before the reader is introduced to them.

But, when you have a novel of this length that is this involved and detailed, those are very minor issues to have. I'm proud for Ms. This is a beautiful display of a talented author with a knack for keeping the reader in suspense. Aug 21, Lavern Winters rated it it was amazing. Recently I volunteered to be a reader reviewer.

The genre I've agreed to read is one that has really never interested me before. I considered romance to be unrealistic fluff about love starved women finding their prince charming who was like no man who has ever lived. I wasn't interested in such shallow plotless stories. But I've come to realize that not all and probably not most of contemporary romance is as I had imagined. So I decided to broaden my reading horizons and go on an adventure to d Recently I volunteered to be a reader reviewer.

Take A Risk (Risqué #1) by Scarlett Finn

So I decided to broaden my reading horizons and go on an adventure to discover just what is being written. I've not read many of any of the romance genres and I have discovered that there are several. When a book is good I read to the exclusion of everything else in my life. The story was so engaging that I read it in one day. Lyssa Cutler, a psychiatrist specializing in sex therapy, has a stalker. Characterized in much like the real world the police are unable to help as the stalker has done nothing to indicate that he poses a real threat. She hires Cole Warner, aka Trapper, who was recommended to her as some one who could find and stop the stalker.

I really enjoyed the story with plenty of suspense and the end was a surprise even though after the fact I could recall unrecognized hints about the identity of the stalker. I like a good mystery novel and Take A Risk did not disappoint. The suspense and mystery of the novel was engaging and I wanted to know what would happen next. The romantic relationship was handled beautifully and the conflict was believable as depicted for the romantic hero. There was a great deal more sexual scenes than I am used to, actually I'm not used to these kind of sizzling scenes, but even for me they did not detract from the plot and were instrumental in developing the romantic relationship between Lyssa and Cole.

I give this book a 4 star only because I felt there was a little too much sex. Character development, plot, and editing were all 5 star quality. Sep 25, Yvonne V Naughty Professora rated it really liked it. Lyssa Cutler has a stalker, and after one too many unsuccessful trips to the police to report the creepy activity, she leaves frustrated and frightened. Maybe a little all of the above. She needs to do what Lyssa Cutler has a stalker, and after one too many unsuccessful trips to the police to report the creepy activity, she leaves frustrated and frightened.

While some readers may be put off by the assertive and confident personality, I found it refreshing! She tells it like it is, and tells Colt what she wants. No innuendo, no hints, no beating around the bush. Direct and to the point. Oct 23, Jill Kirtley rated it it was amazing.

It's a gripping suspense story with hot sex scenes, witty repartee, a crazy stalker, three sexy as hell brothers, a sassy sex therapist, a strip club and so much more! It starts when Lyssa enlists the help of Colt aka Trapper to find her stalker, only to find so much more. When the stalker's behaviour escalates it becomes a race against time to find and stop him.

Melody’s Christmas (Heartwarming Holidays Sweet Romance Book 1)

Editorial Reviews. From Publishers Weekly. This is the second Dr. Risk mystery by Berger, who, like his amateur-sleuth hero, is an expert on the theories of risk. When Dr. Risk wakes up alone on a dock on the East River, he's got more than a The Risk of Heaven (Dr. Risk Mystery Series Book 2) and millions of other.

I love the relationship between Colt and Lyssa, the fact that Lyssa has no taboos when it comes to discussing and analysing sex and sexual behaviour with the three brothers is so funny, I hope there's more in Blaser's story book two. Oh and I loved the visitors at the end, a lovely treat! I highly recommend this thrilling read you won't be disappointed. I received this copy free.
