That is the way you know the author is fabulous is she creates the character who you know is a thorn in your side. I questioned a lot of Jenna's actions and she was always the voice of the reserved type of person whispering, NO! It seems like everyone is up for fun and they plan a few excursions Jenna backs out of going to the nude beach, I wanted to stab her with the umbrella from my tropical drink.

Finally things are moving along and the impact of their "talk" hits home. She is not happy and neither is Jack in a way. They added a lot of funny things to lighten the mood. They seem to have grown apart and are both somewhat willing to keep the marriage intact.

Ultimately the couple they go with have a secret lifestyle. THIS is the best part. The scenes between Marc and Summer were equally as hot. They are very open and expressive. Marc and Summer take turn equally counseling Jack and Jenna. Marc is a Doctor who is very open and has a female way of listening. I dont know if I can or want to share what happens, but it was quite a journey mon! They learn so much about each other as a married couple. They learn about exploration both mentally and physically.

They learn that Jack being an artist, has not changed at all. He is an artist by trade, so he has a creative way about him that may be considered deviant. I mean he sculpts nudes and Jenna was once his model. When the past comes out I learned that maybe Jenna isn't as much a stick in the mud as I thought. Can Jack and Jenna repair the wrongs? Can Marc and Summer help them? TeamJack I cant wait to see what team you are on. Dec 11, Courtney rated it really liked it. I always love reading books by authors I have never read before and going a whim or gut feeling that I get after I read the blurb on it.

Jenna and Jack are going through a rough spot in their 9yr marriage. They are hoping that a trip to Jamaica will help rekindle their romance. Marcus and Summer have a very open relationship, but have really let it be known to Jack and Jenn I always love reading books by authors I have never read before and going a whim or gut feeling that I get after I read the blurb on it.

Marcus and Summer have a very open relationship, but have really let it be known to Jack and Jenna. In the beginning, I had assumed they were swingers, but quickly changed my tuned when I realized they have an open relationship, which is totally different than swingers read the book to really see what I mean.

I am not going to really give any details as to what happens in the story because the whole story is just awesome. The ending is superb - loved it! There is alot of dialog which I love — it makes the characters more appealing and easier to understand. The story had alot of depth to it and sucks you in, and leaves you wanting to know what is going to happen at the next turn. I really liked this story and how it was delivered. It definitely made the book more real for me being that I have been there and could soooo easily picture everything.

But back to the book itself. Truly amazing book — definitely blew me away and I really enjoyed the plot.

Great job Dana and Blakely! I am looking forward to reading more!!! I loved this story! Blakely and Dana Bennett knocked it out of the park! The concept of open relationships was dealt with honestly and respectfully. I kept swinging no pun intended! I really liked Marc and by the end I also grew very fond of Jack.

Frankly, all four characters were written believably and had very distinct personalities. On top of that, the vacation spot was described so wonderfully that I felt like I was at that Jamaican Couples resort with them! The authors did a terrific job of demonstrating how something that sounds good in theory can backfire in actuality.

No spoilers, so I'll just say that one of the four people started out thinking this sounded like a great idea and was really just in it for kicks and giggles. While another of the foursome was very hesitant at first, but decided to try it after the initial attraction began to develop into something more. One partner witnessing the growing emotional attachment of his mate to another caused the budding, carefully orchestrated relationships to fracture.

All of this was done seamlessly with four POV's, which I loved. It gave the story even more depth. Plus, Blakely and Dana did a fantastic job with the dialogue. I also thought that Blakely and Dana did a great job, through their characters, of differentiating between swinging and having an open relationship--polyamory. Some may think it's just semantics, but after reading this, I can see the difference. I also think that they demonstrated the 'snag' or hang up that most people would find themselves confronted with in this type of relationship.

I felt it was handled honestly and respectfully. The ending was what I was hoping for and also felt was the right choice for the characters as written. I am really looking forward to the next book in the Fractured Fidelities Trilogy. Jan 16, Ashley rated it really liked it Shelves: BUT, if you do, then read on! Besides the fact that this book is HOT, it was very intriguing to explore the world of poly-amorous relationships for the first time right along with Jack and Jenna.

Marcus and Summer, the other couple, do a fantastic job of slowly introducing this world to Jack and Jenna, and the reader. Before I read this, if you had asked me if I would have enjoyed reading a book with this type of relationship, I honestly wouldn't have known how to answer.

But now that I've read this book, and have a much better understanding of exactly what a poly-amorous relationship is, even if it's not something I would personally participate in, it makes for a fantastic story! Even outside this new exploration, this book is so honest and real. I mean, in all reality, Marcus and Summer's marriage can only survive the other relationships outside their marriage because they have such a wonderful relationship, built on love and trust, and they are crazy-awesome at communicating with one another.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book, but the ending was also kind of a huge surprise for me too! I won't get into that, as I don't want to spoil it for you, but I can't wait to read the rest of this series! Dec 11, Lexi rated it it was amazing. The book was a wonderful journey with the main characters, Jack and Jenna. It felt so very believable and honest. But in this book the normal made it wonderful to assimilate into the story. The bedroom scenes were hot from both couples. I do think there was a little too much going on by telling the book from all four characters POV.

There were times when I liked it and others when it felt cumbersome to the moving forward of the plot. Also, I loved the writing of Jenna but hated the character and felt it hampered my ability to care for her like I know I should. Jenna- Jenna was fantastically written. She was moody and grumpy and an overall pain in the butt for most of her interactions. None of it felt forced or over the top. However I felt she was so annoying I almost wanted Jack to leave her. Jack- Another very real feeling character. He was easy to sympathize with and had a humorous streak that had me smirk a few times.

Mar 21, Frederick Pings rated it really liked it. How did I miss that in the first place? Jack, the main character certainly goes through changes in his progression. Then you grow to love him. Then you hate him and so the cycle goes. How he ends up in your mind is where the surprise ending takes you. Regardless of what you may think of the lifestyles portrayed herein, the underlying theme throughout is about total honesty and full communication with those you love as well as people in general.

As an upfront kind of guy I appreciate the tone that is evident from cover to cover. While not everyone can handle openness and honesty, it is a worthy pursuit nonetheless. What that has to do with Jack is where the growth comes in. Fred Pings wisconsinexplorer yahoo. Dec 10, Aria Masterson rated it it was amazing. This is the first book by Dana and Blakely Bennett that I have had the pleasure to read and I can tell you, I will be reading more of their books in the future. I love the double-play on the title of this book. This is a great book about the joys and pitfalls of a polyamorous relationship.

I appr This is the first book by Dana and Blakely Bennett that I have had the pleasure to read and I can tell you, I will be reading more of their books in the future. I appreciate that it did not paint polyamory to be this easy relationship choice where you can easily trade sexual partners and no one gets hurt. I find myself in love with all four main characters in this book and I want it to work out for everyone.

Usually, in a typical romance book, the lead female has two men to choose from but there is one guy that you definitely want her to end up with. In this book I really did want her to have both guys! On top of the realistic plot-line, I also really loved the sex scenes and sexual tension in the book.

Yes, G.L. stands for 'Good Luck'! :)

Reading this book will be well worth your time and money. Jan 14, Tami czenkus rated it it was amazing. Jack in an artist and if you know artists they are extremely passionate and a bit eccentric. Jenna is a food critic for a newspaper and Jacks love. They find themselves in a rut as is not unheard of in the realm on marriage. I loved that it was not you typical contemporary romance.. This book is real and you can feel the emotions and the turmoil within the relationship. The openess of Summer and Marc are truly that of an open marraige and it touches on the deeper connection that is needed to be able to form such a bond to be abel to trust and be open in a way that most people will never experience.

I am hoping that this is not the last we hear of the two couples. I truly adore all of them. I was torn emotionally with the twists and turns throughout the book. Thank you for bringing this Fabulous book to life for me Blakely and Dana Jan 07, Theresa Needham fehse rated it it was amazing. So Jack books them on a trip to Jamaica and invites another couple to join them. Jenna is so not happy with this, she wants to work on her marriage with jut the two of them.

She has a lot of anger towards her husband and this just added to it. As Jenna reconciles that the other couple are coming free book for free review Jack and Jenna are having marriage problems. As Jenna reconciles that the other couple are coming and with their help she slowly works through her anger at Jack.

This story has a major twist to it that was great. It really brings to the front of Love and Lust and Trust. Tho I did have a problem with the ending, it did not detract from the over all of this wonderful book. Lots of great sex scenes written with so much heat! A Great book to curl up and read as this is not your average romance book. Dec 01, Michele McMullen rated it really liked it.

Jenna finds herself terribly attracted to Marc and realizes they are more than just a regular couple. The harmless flirting between the two couples begins to turn into much more and very fast they find themselves caught up in the moment.

Can each relationship survive on it's own after this whirlwind vacation of discovery? Feb 16, Melissa Cheslog rated it really liked it. This book is not your typical love story. I will first off state that the setting of the story, Jamaica, is written in such a manner that you feel as though you are there, even during a snow storm. The characters are well written by the authors and the reader is grasped into their story. You quickly fall for them, wishing that the turmoil ends and they realize they are meant for each other.

The sex scenes are for mature audiences and if you are quickly offended then do not read the book. The ent This book is not your typical love story.

Author of erotic romance, erotic suspense, and romance.

After high school, he spent the next chapter working with problem teens and their families in Pensacola, Florida and then spent time on the Colorado River Indian Reservation, in Parker, Arizona helping the Native American population. That is the way you know the author is fabulous is she creates the character who you know is a thorn in your side. There are parts that made me cringe, but it was handled quite well. Jenna complains that Jack doesn't listen to her and makes decisions without confronting her first. I always love reading books by authors I have never read before and going a whim or gut feeling that I get after I read the blurb on it. Yes I did, it was so different.

The entire storyline is meant for those willing to open their mind to the characters and not be judgmental of their lives. I encourage you to give this book a whole hearted attempt. I enjoyed reading it and felt it to be a well told story. Dec 20, Brenda rated it it was amazing. While I totally hate the idea of partner sharing, this pair of authors created some fascinating characters that made me want to keep learning more about them. I have to admit, though, that I don't see how there can be two more books about Jenna and Jack because their story line seemed to end satisfactorily.

I will be looking forward to being proved wrong about this! Nov 25, Zak Neely rated it it was amazing. The characters are very real and so are their problems. Any one of us could be in their shoes. You follow their emotions up and down. The description of being in Jamaica is so vibrant. I have been there before and felt like I was there again while reading. I love the steamy sex scenes. I was given a ARC. I love this author, she is amazing. I don't want to give anything away, because it not out yet.

I will tell you all this you need to read this. I will give a full review when the book is release. Dec 08, Ann Pankhurst rated it it was amazing. Just finished reading this and loved how the authors Blakely and Dana Bennett managed to put exactly how we as women think and how men perceive the same situation. I loved Marc too. Can't wait for the next book. May 25, Al Del rated it it was ok. Sadly I was not a fan. Jack was a complete knob! Aug 20, Steph rated it it was amazing. In case you don't already know which I didn't , demarcation is defined as "the determining and marking off of the boundaries of something.

Though Jenna was hoping that their trip to Jamaica would be a good place to start trying to fix what's broken, her husband royally effed up by inviting another couple to join them on the trip. Furious, Jenna tries to suck it up and make nice with Marc and Summer Beckum; it's really not their fault her husband is a giant douche.

Jack misses Jenna's easy smiles and playful adoration, two things that have been missing from his beautiful wife lately. He knows she's dissatisfied but doesn't know how to make it better, and he'll do whatever he can to do so. His wild and free artist personality used to be what drew Jenna to him, now it seems to be driving her away. As Jenna gets to know former psychologist Marc, she winds up asking herself some tough questions about her marriage and herself. The more time Jenna spends with Marc and Summer, the more she's attracted to the couple's clear love for one another. When she and Jack learn that the Beckums have an open marriage and they're very interested in them, the initial shock turns to fascination and ultimately arousal.

Suddenly Jenna is feeling more alive than she's felt in years and more in love with Jack than ever. Jack would be crazy not to want Summer; she's gorgeous and fun loving and looks pretty damn flexible in those yoga poses. But what's good for the goose isn't necessarily good for the gander, and as talk turns to action and sharing his wife with another man may sound hot in theory, the truth might be much more than Jack can handle.

I immediately felt a kinship to Jenna after Jack was so stupidly thoughtless as to invite another couple on their romantic vacation they're going on in an attempt to salvage their marriage. I could totally see women all over the world scowling at his idiocy! Additionally, I could relate to Jenna's frustration about the woman she's become, wishing that she was able to be loose and free and happy like she used to be when she and Jack met.

Jack drove me nuts, but I could also identify with his free-spirited identity and love for his wife. She has no shame and completely hits on Jack constantly, even telling Marc at one point that it's not her responsibility to stay away from him based on what may or may not happen in his marriage.

See a Problem?

Now Marc, that's a liberated man right there. Sexy and open and willing to love, he gives so much of himself to everyone around him. I am totally team Marc, but only if smarmy Summer were out of the picture. This book features LOTS of dialogue, in fact at times it really read more like a screenplay than a novel.

While it wasn't bad, I would've appreciated less jumping around of perspective. It's so hard to follow when perspectives change frequently, often within the same paragraph.

I'm desperate for the next book in this trilogy! This one was interesting and a little out of the norm of what I normally read and enjoy. It took me out of my comfort zone - I usually don't get into open marriage arrangements and don't normally read them.

Just not my thing. However, I liked this one. Jack and Jenna have been married about 14 years. She feels like the parent in the relationship and Jack is a free-spirited artist. Things have been a little rocky lately, so they decide to take an island trip to have time to work on their relations This one was interesting and a little out of the norm of what I normally read and enjoy.

Things have been a little rocky lately, so they decide to take an island trip to have time to work on their relationship. They meet another couple at the resort who have an open marriage arrangement with limits. Marc and Summer are interested in Jack and Jenna. Of course, Jack is interested but Jenna is unsure. The book held my interest because of the inherent problems that would arise from the decision alone.

Jack and Jenna love each other, so they establish boundaries and agree to discuss and disclose everything. This was more about the decision and the build up in the relationship.
