The Sweetest Love (Sons of Worthington Book 3): Sweet Regency Romance

Write a customer review. Most helpful customer reviews on Amazon. What a way to finish a series. Everything came together nicely, all the intrigue, secrets, and family loyalty came to a happy conclusion. The heroine was wrongly accused of murder by the hero.

See a Problem?

She has a difficult time forgiving him for the accusation. Their relationship developed during an investigation into thefts and murder. I found mystery more engrossing than the romance which became tedious. Nic tries to help his cousin, Tabitha tries to ignore Nic. Someone is stealing and committing murder. What more can you ask for in a good read? Dec 09, Melissa rated it it was amazing.

I think I've found another "favorite" author! I've loved every book I've read by her so far! Jul 27, Kenzee rated it liked it Shelves: I won a free pdf from the author so I really wanted to love this book so that I could give her a glowing review.

It is book 2 in a series, but I have not read book 1. I don't think it seemed to matter I never felt confused. It starts off well, I was interested from the beginning.

My first thoughts as I read were that there were some cheesy parts that didn't seem believable. For instance, the main character gets separated from her family and experiences memory loss. She happens to be helped I won a free pdf from the author so I really wanted to love this book so that I could give her a glowing review.

She happens to be helped by a man whose brother was lost and also experienced memory loss. A bit too coincidental in my opinion. My second thought was that there were so many typo errors throughout the book. I wondered if it was still in the editing process, but I see that it is currently for sale so I guess it's done. The errors distracted from the storytelling.

Reward Yourself

My third complaint was that there was too much sensuality for a regency romance. Granted, it would still technically be called "clean," but usually these romances are all about the desire and less about passionate kissing with moans and sighs. The gentleman wasn't too much of a gentleman. He continually kisses a servant despite saying he didn't want to be that kind of man behind closed doors.

Didn't gentlemen back then keep doors open when alone with a woman? But all of that aside, I did still want to continue reading to find out what happens. It was mostly a fun read it just could have been better. Jun 18, Pascale rated it it was amazing.

Another great novel by Marie Higgins. In this story, Trevor's wife has passed away, leaving him with twins. He has found out that his wife was unfaithful and wonders whether the children are really his, or if they are the offspring of his Kate wife's lover.

Fate steps in when, one day, his carriage accidentally hits and almost kills a young vagabond. He nurses her back to health and, it is through her that he eventually finds the truth. In fact, many truths are revealed through her. This wonderf Another great novel by Marie Higgins.

The Sweetest Touch

This wonderful story with a plot which loosely reminds the reader of a combination of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist and Cinderella is a beautiful fairy tale with a nod to characters from the previous novel in this series. Marie Higgins has a lovely style of writing that pulls the reader's interest in from the very start and holds it to the very end. This book is a clean, historic, fictional romance and the second in the series. I highly recommend her works and look forward to reading the next book in this collection.

Our hero, Trey Worthington, has been told his entire life that he is just like his father. Unfortunately, his father wasn't an honorable man and Trey watched his mother suffer through a difficult marriage. So, not only does Trey believe he can never have a happy marriage, he's decided he will just never marry. He also carries a lot of guilt over something that happened to his younger brother.

Yet, once our tortured hero i The Sweetest Kiss by Marie Higgins is just thata sweet regency romance. Yet, once our tortured hero is introduced to Judith, a young lady that he becomes responsible for, he begins to question everything he thought he'd ever known. Judith Faraday doesn't feel like she needs a guardian, especially one like Trey whom she is very attracted to. She has endured her parents' death and is carrying a few secrets of her ownincluding a secret engagement to an officer in the Navy.

Things don't go as she planned, however, and she finds herself being introduced into London society, thrust into several situations that have her questioning everything she thought she knew. I thought this was an enjoyable story and I really wanted to see how Judith would end up. The plot was a bit predictable and some of the language a bit over the top, but I thought the author did a good job in presenting the characters and making the reader identify with them. For those of you who love happy endings, this one wraps up nicely.

Originally reviewed on http: Jan 31, Wanda Luce rated it it was amazing. Every touch and every love scene between the hero and heroine simmers with passion and conflict as Judith Farady and Trey Worthington fall in love against their past experiences, inner fears, and doubts. Trey is the emobdiment of masculine virility and charm who unwilling finds himself falling in love with Judith.

He refuses to accept the idea that love can last. The romance is keenly delicious and masterfully "The Sweetest Kiss" excels in delivering a keenly romantic experience to its readers. The romance is keenly delicious and masterfully portrayed, and the ending was a GREAT surprise but was highly satisfying. Higgin's novels and will continue to read her books as they come out.

She creates vibrant, colorful characters and clean, but passionate, romance in which her readers may immerse themselves and drift into another realm.
