The only reason I did not give the Tiggly Counts a five-star rating is because the apps tend to crash a lot. They are just a bit buggy and often just quit to the home screen. I have to quit the app double-tap home button and swipe up to quit app in order to make it playable. This is frequently enough to make it annoying, but not often enough thats it not unplayable. I recieved this product at a reduced price for my honest opinion.
Absolutely love these, and so does my three-year old!!! He caught on quickly, and loves using the Tiggly apps with these counting blocks particularly enjoys the chef app. It has taken math to a new level for him, and has helped him conceptualize addition and subtraction in a way that is lots of fun.
This was a great purchase, great price, and lightning fast shipping as always with Prime. I highly recommend to other parents and educators! This was not as fun for my son as I thought it'd be. It's not really helping him to count. All he has to do is use the 1 block to do the entire game. I wouldn't recommend this product. I have these at home and at my childcare facility.
They are a great learning tool, my kiddos love the apps, and I have noticed a lot of interest and growth from the children that use them. One person found this helpful. When I purchased this product, I didn't realize that you could use the apps with your fingers and don't even need the blocks. I also feel that the apps are not helpful in teaching basic addition. I really don't like for my son 3 to spend too much time on the ipad.
This is interactive and educational. I am much more at ease giving him this to work with for twenty minutes than just letting him watch nick jr.
My only concern is that the games are a little short. He can finish one in 15 minutes and by the end of a couple weeks he is tired of them. Please make more apps! My 4 year old loves the tiggly math blocks!! The apps keep her entertained and have taught her a lot! These are great for beginners and children who are familiar with simple math! I'm very happy with my purchase. The kit comes with four math games that you can play with the math blocks. You can play with the toys right outside of the box without any setup needed other than downloading the four games.
The games are well-designed with fun characters and engaging activities. My son loves the Chef games the most which focus on addition and subtraction. As a parent I really like the tactile learning that comes with the toys, which is super important for kids at my son's age.
