Nov 25, Jackie's Book Review rated it really liked it. Ryan Millen life is about to have a degree turn happen to him in a matter of an announcement. Yep it's not something that the notorious playboy ever expected Now Ryan's world is completely turned upside down and Ryan is screwed.

Ryan's one night fling wants to put his baby up for adoption, not so with Ryan. Lynn is struggling to just make it while her ex dumped her and she can't afford to pay her bills while trying to finish up nursing school. While looking for a job she becomes Ryan Millen life is about to have a degree turn happen to him in a matter of an announcement. While looking for a job she becomes Ryan's son's nurse to help with her dilemma and Ryan's. Both Ryan and Lynn have a turn of events that have happened to them and the question is can they both accept how their cards were dealt.

There is a relationship the grows with them but not with out the questions and answers that lay ahead. This is not a cushiony love story, it is a story of rearrangement and change for the main characters. The author has written the storyline to flow with events that take place with Ryan and Lynn very well.

Good and Enjoyable Read! Nov 24, Lena rated it really liked it Shelves: This review also appears at http: Close-knit to a fault, the family is filled with ex-military alpha males who protect the women in their families at all costs. This book in particular focuses on Ryan Millen, a playboy whose life is turned upside down when he unexpectedly bec ARC provided courtesy of The Book Gurus. This book in particular focuses on Ryan Millen, a playboy whose life is turned upside down when he unexpectedly becomes a father overnight.

Financially strapped Lynn enters his life and the two find a seemingly mutually beneficial arrangement around the care of his son newborn son Brady. Every single man in this book is imposing and aggressive, bordering on overbearing. The women in the book seem to enjoy that so it works. Regardless of personality type, the guys in the book mean well and Clipper does a good job of pairing them with women who balance them out and in some cases go toe-to-toe with them.

The author also manages to highlight the value of loyalty and family throughout. She captures the love that the couples have within their relationships, though that often looks different from one to the next. The story is an interesting read, but there are a few issues I ran into that kept me from really enjoying it. First, I struggled with the plot. I also felt the plot created new obstacles and resolved them at a rushed pace. I also found the grammatical errors frustrating, although not overtaking.

A re-edit would resolve the issues easily. I would have appreciated a more fleshed-out handling of how these two fit into the story, rather than something that felt rushed to pull or push them out of the storyline. It is very clear that in order to understand the complex relationships and references in Unexpected Love, you need to know the back-story of the other couples, namely Sean and Beth and Darren and Courtney. I found myself getting frustrated because I wanted to understand the nuances of character behaviors, responses and descriptions of previous events.

Ryan Millen, a NICU nurse, is enjoying his life as a bachelor and doting uncle to his nieces-to-be when an unexpected surprise is dropped in his lap. A firm believer in always wrapping it up, Ryan's unprepared for a woman he can't remember to claim he fathered her child - the one she is trying to put up for adoption. When Sean and Beth talk Ryan into bringing the baby home, Ryan is thrust into the world of single daddy duty with no clue what to do when it's his own child who needs him. Lynn, Russ' Courtney's manny sister, is a nurse who is drowning in debt thanks to her ex and is unable to find a job.

When an unexpected opportunity comes her way, she snatches it up in order to help pay her bills. When the two find themselves no longer unable to deny what lies between them, a wrench is thrown into their way. Will they be able to survive it or will they walk away broken hearted? Once again Casey Clipper has delivered a captivating book that holds your attention from the very beginning. If you love alpha males or ex-military men, this series is for you! Every male character in Clipper's series comes off as very alpha male and the strong protector types. Ryan who is thrust into the single daddy role has problems adjusting, but undergoes a tremendous amount of growth from the beginning to the end of the book.

Lynn also undergoes some personal growth of her own. My only complaint is how suddenly Ryan's one night stand reappears and the way the situation is resolved. The same goes with Lynn's ex. It seems that these characters were kind of just thrown in and the story lines were a bit rushed. Other than that, I loved the book and the bits where Sean, Beth, and Courtney were thrown in.

Jul 30, Kim rated it liked it Shelves: This one was okay but nowhere near as good as the first one. I was bored to death for about the first 17 chapters honestly. I mean I don't care about reading how many times a baby eats, how long it sleeps, or how much it shits in my romance novels. It was just way too much and it drug out way too long for me.

Then he and Lynn hook up suddenly, bam everything is great. I understood Ryan's struggle, well other than his whoring around, but it just made him seem like a wimp. I can understand how he This one was okay but nowhere near as good as the first one. I can understand how he felt being forced into a situation he never wanted but man up about it. I still liked him but he was nowhere near the man his brother was in his book. One thing I did feel was like jumping in my Kindle and stabbing Courtney repeatedly.

For the love you selfish twat can you not do the one simple thing Sean asks and stay away! I mean call, send cards, send letters but stop being an obnoxious meddling twat. I hated Derk in this one until he somewhat redeemed himself at the end. But with what is sure to be enough Courtney to make me want to gauge my eyes out as well as some mentions of his story having a "not traditional HEA", after this one I think I will hold off and maybe come back to it.

I have had all that is the character of Courtney I can stand after these two and the only way I think I will ever like Derk is if he ends up with the wife, picket fence, and at the very least a dog I am fine with no kids but short of that I don't think I will care about his story at all. I was really excited about this series but I am thinking the first book is the only one that will be a read I truly enjoy.

Nov 09, Imani rated it did not like it. It's just a pet peeve of mine when characters from a former book are too involved in the story line. Saw way too much of sean and his wife and their opinions and everybody else's damn opinion on Ryan's situation and I was only at the beginning of the story.

So yeah I didn't finish it cause I was tired of seeing all these other people and I didn't find them likable. Mar 16, DemetraP rated it it was ok. It was just ok. I give the author credit for writing a book about a baby and having most of the book take place with bottles and diaper changes and screaming fits. The heroine is the baby's nanny. Overall, I didn't like the plotline. Nov 12, Joanne Swinney rated it it was amazing. I knew from book one in this series that I was going to be hooked.

I would say that you could read each book as a standalone because each story is based around one of the main characters, but to enjoy the full experience of this fantastic storytelling series, I would advise starting at the beginning.

Editorial Reviews

This book is about I knew from book one in this series that I was going to be hooked. This book is about Ryan Millen, the twin brother of Sean who I read about in book one. God, I just knew his story was going to be swoon worthy. No ties, just simple fun going from one partner to another. Everyone deals with situations, and events in their lives differently. Lynn is on the right place at the right time some might say. Entering the Murphy family can be dangerous. Lynn and Ryan both seek something neither can really admit to needing. Relationships are never without certain complications, and Ryan most definitely has complications in his life.

Danger, love, amazing sex. This story has it all. I would definitely recommend you read this series. Dec 15, ByoBook Club rated it really liked it Shelves: Another Millen brother meets his match! A talented doctor, Ryan is focused on his career while still enjoying the female companionship that runs in and out of his life at a steady pace.

Little did he know his cavalier attitude was going to catch up with him i Another Millen brother meets his match! Little did he know his cavalier attitude was going to catch up with him in a big, big way. Despite the able support of family, Ryan is blind-sided and unable to cope on his own when life-changing events interrupt his usual routine. When his career is threatened by all the upheaval, he needs help and he needs it now. Lynn is at a crossroads in her life as well. You could read this as a stand-alone but things make a lot more sense when you understand the many back stories.

The author provides another well-written and heat-laced story with real characters that are struggling with issues we can all relate to. Financial obligations and family responsibilities are no strangers to most of us. While I may not have learned everything I wanted to about the main characters in this installment the story was interesting and had me hooked to the end. On what seems to be a typical morning, Ryan's life is turned upside down. A women he barely remembers claims that he is the father of her newborn baby.

Struggling to come to terms with a life he never wanted, Ryan seeks the help of his family. Lynn was abandoned by the man that she loved and was left with bills she is now struggling to pay. When things became too much to handle she finds herself on her brother's doorstep.

Love Books Love Series เรื่อง Mister Daddy พ่อ(คุณ)ตัวดี EP.2 [1/5]

Ryan meets Lynn when he is desperate need of a nanny. Lynn seeing this as a way out of her financial hole takes the job. I thought this was a unique story and not your typical boy-meets-girl love story. In Unexpected Love, you have two strangers dealing with life's unexpected who find each other and possibly love. Nov 29, BooksandBeyondFiftyShades rated it it was amazing.

With a crappy minimum wage job, student loans and normal everyday bills Lynn struggles to maintain her independence day-to-day. Now she finds herself Ryan Millen. Now she finds herself on her brother's doorstep, begging for a place to stay so maybe she can find a way to crawl out of the hole she's been swallowed by. Embarrassed by her situation, she vows never to become dependent on a man again. This is the first thing I have ever read by Casey and I have to say she is an awesome author. I loved all the characters. It seems all the secondary characters were just as important to the story as the main characters.

I really liked watching him "grow up" and become the father he should have started out to be. I absolutely fell in love with Lynn. She is not afraid to put any man in his place and she is smart and very witty. What a perfect female character to the playboy manwhore that Ryan is. I will definitely be reading more from Casey Clipper. I highly recommend this book. Nov 25, Gemma Weir rated it really liked it. Coach Love

Seriously who the hell is Derrick??? And what happened between Sean and Courtney??? I feel like he needed to try a bit harder than just jumping her. What happened to Robert??? I enjoyed this book but I think I would have loved it if I was privy to more info about the other characters. Yes this book was about Ryan and Lynn but Sean, Beth, Derrick and Courtney featured heavily and not having any idea what happened between these couple left me feeling a bit disconnected.

This is entirely my fault for starting a series midway through but unfortunately it did affect my enjoyment of this book so it gets 3. Jul 22, Donna rated it it was amazing. He loves taking care of the fragile newborns but doesn't want any kids of his own. When a woman giving birth declares Ryan is the father and she is giving the baby up for adoption, Ryan has to face the responsibilities of being a single dad. Enter Lynn, an R who can't find a job in a saturated market. She becomes Brady's nanny and immediately falls in love with him.

Who wouldn't fall in love with a precious baby. Trouble is, Ryan and Lynn develop feelings for each other but neither believes it is a good idea to act upon those feelings. Can they get past their misgivings and find their HEA? This is another HOT, sexy couple who I thought would cause my ereader to overheat!! They don't simply create sparks-- they cause a fire!! I love Lynn's sassy attitude. Until a perfect storm happens and both these two connect again on a level which in a drunken haze cause both their lives to tilt; causing all sorts of hurdles.

Both are supposedly tied to others While we experience this part of the tale there is another story brewing Dominic, the second son His Mother senses it and we become engrossed with what is happening with him This book was well written and gave us a lot to think about. I did have some issues with the main focus of the story due to the cheating I have difficulty liking characters who do it This is a complex family The next book with be Dominic's and I think this will be the most interesting of all.

I really enjoy reading sport romances, and after reading Love Garage , I could not wait to get my hands on Coach Love. And it delivered in spades! When she writes a story, it will always take you by surprise. You think you know, but you have no idea.

Every time you think a story plot is going one I received a copy of Coach Love via Book Enthusiast Promotions for an honest review. She keeps you on your toes, there's not doubt about that! Kieran went on to play professional basketball until an accident ended his career. And now he's broken both physically and emotionally. Just when his life is getting back on track Cara's got the life she always dreamed of She's engaged to a very wealthy guy. Their relationship isn't perfect or without flaws, but Cara only sees those things as 'par for the course'.

You take the good with the bad and you deal. But then Kieran comes back into her picture and now everything's not so clear Reading this book was like watching an episode of General Hospital any soap-opera will do, that's just the only one I watch sporadically LOL.

There is drama at every corner. I'm gonna tell you right now that if you can't read without prejudice, please don't read this story. If you pay attention to what I've written, you should understand there's gonna be some cheating, amongst other things. And while I understand it is really hard to take your personal feelings on subjects out of the equation when you're reading a book, you should try really really hard. Because Liz Crowe has exceptional writing skills. And she's going to give you a story that's real in every day life.

Cheating happens every day. So give Coach Love a try and the rest of the series while you're at it. It honestly IS a very well written, entertaining page turner! Dec 26, Linda Levine rated it really liked it. I wasn't sure what to expect from the series about the Love brothers. They definitely are not easy men to live with and love and the women in their lives also deal in lies and betrayal. I would expect the sons of a religious family with committed parents to have more respect for themselves and the women in their lives but they tend to cheat and lie pretty easily. I would have preferred less interactions with others when they are saying how much they love and care for someone else.

They don't have I wasn't sure what to expect from the series about the Love brothers. They don't have much quilt over their actions either which would have been appropriate. In this second book, Kieran is dealing with a lot of failures when he runs into his ex. She is engaged to a hot shot lawyer and he is engaged to a lawyer as well. They were young and in love for years before she broke it all off. They both know they should keep their distance but they can't do it.

There is a big secret revealed at the end that really impacts the family. You really have to keep a scorecard with these brothers to keep track of all their women and their bad behaviors. It definitely packs heat but in the end it is hard for me to like the characters. The story does keep your attention. I received a copy in return for a honest review. I highly recommend reading book 1 before embarking on Coach Love. This book although based around Kieran Love contains the continuing drama of the Love family, you will get much more background on each character if it is read in the order the series is written. This is the second brother and peace maker Kieran's book. Always the good boy, the chilled and calm brother, Kieran has found his future hopes and dreams shattered with a career ending injury.

Unexpected Love (Love, #2) by Casey Clipper

Basketball and the NBA is no longer an option for Kieran so he finds himself depressed, questioning his future with a high maintenance girlfriend that no one likes, back in Kentucky around his family and with way too much time on his hands to wallow in thoughts of what could have been. When he attends a Physical Therapy session, he is surprised to find his therapist is his high school sweetheart Cara. They have both moved on with there lives so things can remain professional and platonic between them; or can they?

Cara is engaged to one of Kentucky's most eligible bachelors. Kent is everything she should want and she thinks she is happy Until Kieran reappears in her life. Should she follow her heart or her head? Old feelings bubble under the surface and when Kieran and Cara bump into each other at a bar one evening those bubbles POP!

Leaving them both questioning the decisions of the past, the present and the future. The high drama continues in the fast paced second instalment in this brilliant series. I love how Liz twists and turns her stories, you just have no clue as to where she will take her characters or if a HEA is even possible; Kieran and Cara are no different. They parted on friendly terms but it is clear that they still have a connection from the moment they meet again. In true Liz style this couple have to overcome many obstacles both in there relationships with others as well as with themselves.

What you will certainly see is a different Kieran than the sensible, laid back character we first met in book 1. In some ways he is the black sheep. Not in the usual rebellious sense - that title is most certainly Dom's. It is more in a sense that he is a typical middle child; quiet, peacemaker, doesn't cause concern, easy to overlook and to top it off he is the only ginger sibling, which he is reminded of frequently.

I liked him and I loved that he had a very close or as close as you can get relationship with the very troubled brother Dominic. Throw in the Love families drama's and sometimes dysfunctional dynamics and you have another awesome book. Your books never fail to suck me in. Your writing style and the depth you add to your characters is amazing and you never leave the reader asking questions. You dot every i and cross every t in your storytelling; not many writers have the talent, skill or passion to be able to do that.

I should now say that I am eagerly anticipating Dominic's book, but being one of Liz's early readers on this series I have already had the pleasure of reading it. Instead I will tell you to hold onto your hat, pull up your big girl panties and look forward to Love Brewing, Dominic is full of surprises. Nov 12, DawnMarie Carpintero rated it it was amazing. You have such a gift when throwing sweet twists in when you least expect it. In the end however again you floored me to best. I was surprised and flabbergasted during this entire read. Thank you for allowing me the honor in reading this great expectation and blowing it all out of the water in all a good way. WOW I just do not know what to say, Liz sure throw a twist in this book. I never saw that coming. Just goes to show you when you think you know a character you need to think again. I totally loved this book, it is so touching and heartbreaking.

Liz puts a twist on her stories that are so unlike anything I have ever read. This poor family just keeps getting hit with more pain than it can take. Kieran comes home with his tail between his legs trying to start over from losing his job, his women th WOW I just do not know what to say, Liz sure throw a twist in this book.

Kieran comes home with his tail between his legs trying to start over from losing his job, his women that no one liked anyway to find he still has feeling for his high school sweetheart that dumped him. The saying goes Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive! Oh there is going to be fall out, pieces broken, hearts torn apart and love lost before it is all said and done.

The question is who will be left standing and who will be with whom? Kieran is strong but has a fear of being alone and feels he needs a woman to hold. She has a big secret which will make Kieran finally walk away from her. The question is will he stay away and what about this pull he has for Cara, can he make things right with her or should he leave her alone to marry Kent? Cara is a strong will woman who left Kieran after high school wanting to sew a few wild oats before she settled down. In walks Kent they are days away from being married when his secret comes out.

He swears it is nothing and he will walk a straight line, he loves her more and will do right by her. Can he keep this promise and can Cara stay out of the Kieran arms long enough to say I do? It will put father against son and maybe brother against brother. Can love stay in this family and bring it back as a whole or will all the secrets finally tear the Love Family apart? Liz in her unique style makes you laugh, want to cry, leave you with your mouth hung open saying OOOOHHHH my god as she spins a tale of a family barely holding it together trying to find their way in life with many bumps along the way.

I have totally loved the entire Love Brothers series, I have to say this is the best one yet. Each are unique and worth the read as Liz tells it like it is with a complicated family who is just putting one foot in front of the other as they make a mess of their lives as they try to bring it around to live another day hopefully with the person they love. Liz has an easy style of writing a complicated life, her words flow easy and she draws you into the life of her characters.

She gives you a page turn that her readers will not want to put down. She never leaves you behind but pulls you forward as she writes a story of pain, heartbreak with love. You never know who her characters will end up with until the end. It has a wonderful happy ending but is sad at the same time. Liz you did a wonderful outstanding job I totally loved this story. Jan 04, Steph rated it really liked it. Kieran Love has always been the strong Love brother--the good guy, the one people relied on. He's also the athletic star of the family--or he was, before a horrifying career ending injury cut his time in the NBA, drastically short in his rookie season.

Now engaged to the bitchy but beautiful Melinda, Kieran finds himself drowning in a pit of self-pity and alcohol and loathing Cara is also engaged, but breaking up with Kieran all those years ago has always been a deep regret, and damn if she can find it in her to give a shit when he makes her feel like a albeit drunk goddess. In addition to the fact that he can't stop thinking and drooling over his ex-girlfriend, Kieran's life is quickly spiraling out of control.

Too much time on his hands has him drinking himself into a constant stupor and falling into some really self-destructive bad habits. Join the Love family as they take on this most recent challenge of supporting one of their own. As a huge fan of Ms. Crowe, I devour anything of hers I can get my hands on, and while this series isn't exactly my favorite, I can't deny that her "Romance for Real Life" writing style has me up all hours of the day and night devouring her stories as fast as I can.

My main issue with this series is the seriously obscene amount of unremorseful cheating! And that everyone is more or less A-Ok with it in the end which seems totally non "real life" to me, BTW. Crowe's writing style isn't for the faint of heart or those who want a light frothy read. You'll get "the feels" from page one, start rooting for SOMEONE by page 10, cry by page 60, laugh at 70, throw your ereader by 90 and at the end, if you're not too mentally and emotionally spent, you'll say brava Jan 08, books are love rated it really liked it.

In this installment we look at Kieran and begin to delve into Dominic. The ending will tear your heart out. The only one who truly truly accepted him was Kieran. To top it off his ex-girlf In this installment we look at Kieran and begin to delve into Dominic. To top it off his ex-girlfriend who he loved since high school the one that dumped him in college and said he was nothing to her is marrying someone else and he still loves her.

That is not the strangest part of that tale. This comes out at the wedding or non wedding and this is when Kieran and Dominic declare their love. Kieran outwardly to his ex. Dominic in a show of strength and courage one that Kieran is proud of. This story entails these two brothers and how they are dealing with their spiralling life. Dominic with heartache and accepting who he is. Kieran with trying to start over and live with the fact he loves Cara his ex from college. Unfortunately for Dominic he intertwines in the story for both Kieran and Cara. You will feel so much for Dominic especially at the end.

What he goes through and is trying to come to terms with just will break your heart. And when Kent finally accepts and comes to terms with who his heart really wants it may be too late. I do hope that works out. I love Cara in this story at the end with Kieran.

He keeps having to ask her for her hand and go through hurdles. She accepts and loves unconditionally and I hope she can help keep this family together with that ending. I love Kieran and his support and love for Dominic as well. A wonderfully written story of love and acceptance. Of finding who you are and becoming comfortable with it and standing up for who you love no matter what the consequences.

Oct 09, Lisa Zeigler rated it it was amazing. I was provided an early reader copy of this book and I know that editing is still in progress. Afterwards, there is an all-out war type of basketball game between the brothers and no one leaves without at least a bruise or more. Of the four sons there is the oldest one who watches over everyone, the second is the athlete and peacemaker, the third is the bad boy with various issues and works in the brewery, and the baby brother who spent many years in higher education and becoming a writer.

Kieran is the second son and the peacemaker. There are a lot of changes with his career and love life and I empathized with his pain and trying to find his way. This series is different from other Liz Crowe books and where a broader range of readers would enjoy the stories. With the sons, you have the love, loyalty, fighting, and competition. Liz provides a HEA, even though it might not be the one you expect. Mar 02, Maria's Book Blog rated it really liked it.

There is definitely no shortage of drama, love, lust, and horribly made decisions in this second installment. All of which will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. And OMG what an ending! Allow me to backtrack a bit Keiran and Cara are high school sweethearts. Because they're still pining after each other and their failed relationship. For all intents and purposes he seems pretty amazing, the perfect catch. Although the saying "it's too good to be true" rings very true in this situation. But that's something I'll let you figure out on your own.

The fact that all of Keiran's life plans seem to be crumbling, one right after another is what I think brought him back to the original source of his heartbreak So now, even more than before, he can't get her out of his mind.

See a Problem?

Cara is aware she made a bad decision in ending things with Keiran, but her relationship with Kent is too far along to go and end it all. I love that the family dynamics are still going strong in this second installment, and that the dual POV is still present. The writing is pretty much on point and the story flows well. Kieran's life seemed to be going so well in high school until he was painfully dumped by his true love Cara. His cycle of pain continued when a career-ending sports injury occurred which drove him back home leaving him a lost soul. Just when he finally seems to have gotten his life back together with a new love he's reunited with his old love which leads to some painful decisions for everyone. Kieran was always seen as the perfect son but his cheating in this story tarnished that image for me, but with Ms. Crowe's impressive writing skills she still makes him likable and had me rooting for his HEA throughout all the ups and downs. Cara always knew she'd made a mistake dumping Kieran but moved on to find a man she cares about with a life of contentment. Seeing Kieran again has her doubting her happiness though and with old feelings intensifying she reconnects with him despite all the pain it leads to.

Cara's a likable woman doing something that I find disappointing, but Ms. Crowe makes her a multi-dimensional character whose acts are understandable in her quest for true happiness. The people in this story are flawed, they don't always do the right thing but they go with their heart despite everything. Their imperfections are what pull you in as we see the grey side of life depicted. Family plays a large part in this story and are equally realistic as they're sometimes overbearing and say the wrong thing. They're loyal though and always there when needed.
