Review quote Reviews of the second edition: The book fully meets the authors objectives, it is well written in a logical, objective, thought-provoking and quite easily readable style. It should appeal to the serious student of radio- and nuclear chemistry at either undergraduate or postgraduate level, as well as to readers with a more general interest in nuclear science and its impact on the environment. Applied Radiation and Isotopes, July This book is an excellent, readable account of a significant part of the scientific achievements of more than half this century.

The authors have dedicated the book to Nobel Laureate Glenn T. Seaborg and its scholarship makes it a fitting tribute.

Goodreads is the world's largest site for readers with over 50 million reviews. A series of different experimental methods exist, these have been designed to enable the measurement of a range of different elements in different matrices. Radiochemistry or Nuclear Chemistry is the study of radiation from an atomic or molecular perspective, including elemental transformation and reaction effects, as well as physical, health and medical properties. Radiochemistry is the chemistry of radioactive materials, where radioactive isotopes of elements are used to study the properties and chemical reactions of non-radioactive isotopes often within radiochemistry the absence of radioactivity leads to a substance being described as being inactive as the isotopes are stable. He has published more than reviewed scientific papers. Gamma radiation requires an appreciable amount of heavy metal radiation shielding usually lead or barium -based to reduce its intensity. Despite the growing use of nuclear medicine, the potential expansion of nuclear power plants, and worries about protection against nuclear threats and the management of the nuclear waste generated in past decades, the number of students opting to specialize in nuclear and radiochemistry has decreased significantly over the past few decades.

Radiological Protection Bulletin, December show more. The main research focus on the last 25 years has been solution chemistry of the lightest to the heaviest elements in the periodic table thermodynamics, solvent extraction etc as well as statistical uncertainty analysis.

In later years the focus has started to include recycling processes from various sources as well as the new Gen IV nuclear reactor systems. This book is not yet featured on Listopia.

The grammar is not the best, I found several misspelling error, possibly because of the translation. It is also not very easy to follow. In some instances it leaves a topic unsolved, and in others it goes too much in depth without getting to the actual point.
