The only issue I have with it is that there is a picture of grandpa holding the baby upside down to hug him his "special" way. That was kind of upsetting. It features an adorable little baby in a diaper with a single curl on top of his head. The illustrations tell as much of the story as the words do. His father is carrying a basket of laundry. At the end, mom, dad, baby,, and dog are all hugging on the rug.

Huggy Kissy is delightful, both funny and sweet. My month-old granddaughter loved it on the first read and insisted I read it three more times in a row. Every toddler loves to be hugged and kissed by his family. It is a perfect story to read while bonding with your little one. I told my son I had a new book for him; that immediately got his attention. He insisted we read it right then and there, and had to read it 3 times in a row. Personally I love the cover of this one because I am just that much of a dog person! My kid loves his books, and Leslie Patricelli is definitely one of his top 3 favorite authors.
