Deacon grew up in New Rochelle, New York with his parents and younger brother. His father was an alcoholic and abusive towards his mother. A time-traveling Ramse observed an abusive incident between Deacon's father and the family in Ramse called the police, who took the young boy's father into custody. Years later, Deacon would claim that those people were condemned by their DNA and that the world belongs to the immune. Deacon would go onto become the leader of the group of scavengers that remained, referred to now as the West VII.

The group would grow to people. At an unknown point in time, Deacon developed a contentious relationship with another scav leader called The Foreman. Very little about their relationship is known besides the fact that The Foreman murdered Deacon's brother and is still hunting for Deacon.

Theodore Deacon

Ramse struggled to integrate with the group and regularly clashed with Deacon. Deacon forced Ramse out and was prepared to kill him. Instead, Cole and Ramse fled the group in In , Max returns to the camp. She notifies Deacon that she has tracked down Cole, as well as found food, shelter, and power. While scouting the temporal facility, Deacon and his crew come across a disoriented Cole.

Unbeknownst to them, Cole has just time traveled from two days in the future.

They drag Cole back to their camp and torture him with red leaves obtained from the Daughters. Cole reveals the location of tunnels that will allow the West VII to invade the facility. The attack is beaten back Cole and the team inside, causing Deacon to flee. In an alternate caused by Cassie's death in , Deacon is murdered by Ramse. Because Cassie never left the message for Jones to find, Cole is killed after he and Ramse stumble upon the temporal facility.

Death of Shane Todd

Ramse escapes back to the West VII, kills Deacon, and rallies the remaining scavengers behind himself. This timeline is undone after Cole's brief visit.

Theodore Deacon

Later, Deacon is approached by the Messengers for help invading the facility. They promise to leave the entire facility to him after they access the time machine. The attack is much more successful than the first. Cassie arrives via time machine during the attack with the Messengers. Deacon takes custody of her and locks her in a cell.

Cassie diagnoses him with Wilson's Disease and explains that she can use the time machine to get him medication. Cassie convinces Deacon to turn against the Messengers and together they take back the facility. Deacon remains at the facility in the aftermath of the attack and takes Cassie under his wing during the following eight months, training her to survive in the ruthless future she was previously unequipped to handle. On March 25, Fisher held a public memorial for his famous mother and sister.

Friends and co-workers recalled that he was upbeat on his final day of work at IME on Friday, June Todd's girlfriend, Shirley Sarmiento, expected to hear from him on Friday or Saturday, but he did not respond to her messages. On Sunday, June 24, she went to his apartment. Finding the door unlocked, she entered, and discovered Todd's body hanging from a bathroom door.

A chair was about five feet away. Sarmiento then contacted Todd's family in the United States to alert them to his death. The police were quoted as saying that Dr. Todd "drilled holes into his bathroom wall, bolted in a pulley, then slipped a black strap through the pulley and wrapped it around the toilet several times. He then tethered the strap to his neck and jumped from a chair.

Todd's family arrived at his apartment in Singapore after receiving news of his death, they noted that the scene was not as described: The location of the toilet was also not where the police report indicated it was. Furthermore, there were no signs of an investigation at the scene; police had not put up crime scene tape or dusted for fingerprints.

The Financial Times reported that Dr. Todd's home "looked like a snapshot of a man in the middle of a move". Before his death, Dr.

Todd was in the middle of doing the laundry. He had packed boxes in preparation for his move back to the United States, and had clean clothes folded on the couch.

He was also apparently in the middle of trying to sell his furniture, and had been writing out price tags. His airline ticket back to the United States was on the table, but his laptop and phone had been taken away by the police. Police found several suicide notes allegedly left by Dr.

Todd, but his family and girlfriend told the Financial Times that they did not seem to be Dr. In one note, he apologized for being a burden to his family, but his mother said he had never been a burden; he had excelled at everything, she said. Another note praised the management of IME.

His girlfriend was incredulous, noting that Dr. Todd "hated his job. David Camp, a criminologist from Illinois, analyzed the suicide note side by side with a collection of Dr. Camp concluded that it wasn't written by an American and wasn't typical of a suicide, that he felt the note was detached and unemotional, and did not match up with Todd's personality. Employees at IME were reportedly told not to speak to reporters about Dr. However, one of Dr. Todd's colleagues did reach out to his parents, telling them, "After collecting all information available, I cannot believe it is a suicide case.

Actually, no one believes it I truly hope that [the] FBI can be involved and perform further investigation. The official autopsy report provided by the Singapore police said that Todd's cause of death was " asphyxia due to hanging.
