The tales centre on the occupants of an English manor. Bracebridge Hall is a novel by Washington Irving, this edition illustrated by Caldecott. With an engraving to frontispiece, an illustrated title page and further illustrations throughout. Original paper-covered boards with rectangular paste down to the front cover. Six full colour tipped in plates by Aldin.

The book is in nice condition, with a little wear to extremities, split to the bottom of the spine see pictures. This is Margery Allingham's copy creator of the Campion novels , owned by her as a child. Original brown gilt hardback. Illustrated throughout by Arthur Rackham. Covers are worn, chipped and the cloth to the spine is missing see pictures.
