Right now it would probably like this song. Ray Charles makes Georgia in My Mind alive. Maybe there were others before him, but for my generation he is the one who performs that miracle.
The author captured the universal feeling of longing for the place were we grew up, that sweet place that will never again exist. It is a mirage because essentially is not geography but time, that precious time in our lives that will never come back, what creates our nostalgia.
